Honghuang: Senior Brother of the Chan Sect, I am Guangchengzi
Chapter 166 Destined to Become a Saint
Chapter 166 Destined to Become a Saint
There is no need to say much about success. Everyone is happy and the whole family is happy. Let’s celebrate and congratulate.
But if it fails, the consequences will be extremely serious, and the world will be completely destroyed, with no possibility of rebirth forever.
Because even your own existence will be forgotten by heaven and earth, and no living being will remember those great gods who failed to prove their truth, because everything you have will disappear.
Apart from Hunyuan Daluo Jinxian, no one else can remember it. Even if a powerful person forces someone to tell it, the memory will disappear in an instant.
It is precisely because the consequences of failure are too serious, so serious that even the great gods cannot accept it, that so few people choose to take the last step.
Therefore, it can be regarded as a kind of history that Guangchengzi was able to witness three great gods successfully taking the last step in succession.
Fortunately, Yuanshi Tianzun was an existence loved by the entire prehistoric world after all. His figure began to condense after a moment of illusion, and a supreme power that was no less than that of a saint also burst out from his body.
Hunyuan Daluo Jinxian!
Seeing this scene, Guangchengzi felt tears welling up in his eyes. With such an existence to support him, he could run rampant throughout the prehistoric world!
All the living creatures in the prehistoric world also bowed in the direction of Kunlun Mountain, shouting, “Meet the leader of the Chan Sect, Yuqing Yuanshi Tianzun, the Supreme Saint!”
Yuanshi Tianzun then slowly gathered his breath, and just as he was about to return the Hongmeng Measuring Ruler to Guangchengzi, he immediately knelt on the ground, prostrated himself, and performed the ultimate ceremony: “Guangchengzi congratulates Master on achieving the supreme realm, and this disciple is also extremely delighted!”
Yuanshi Tianzun smiled slightly, personally reached out his hand to help Guangchengzi up, and said with a smile: “You and I, master and disciple, will accompany each other for countless kalpas, there is no need to be so polite.
Come with me. I have many insights in my heart after this enlightenment. I also want to expand the school and accept more disciples, so I will tell you in advance. “
Guangchengzi nodded solemnly, knowing that his fellow apprentices were about to return and he had already thought about how to teach them.
Yuanshi Tianzun was a saint and the leader of a religion at this time, so it was naturally impossible for him to teach other disciples as he did before, so the most likely possibility was that Guangchengzi passed on the skills on his behalf.
After all, Guangchengzi also has to reach the Hunyuan realm, and his understanding of the Dao is no less than those Chaos Gods who have not yet been beheaded. Naturally, he can teach those junior fellow disciples with ease.
However, Yuanshi Tianzun was not in a hurry to take Guangchengzi away, but stood there and waited for a moment. Then he saw another cloud of mist rising up, and the sound like a sharp sword shook the universe.
“I am the authentic Pangu, the Supreme Pure Spiritual Treasure Heavenly Venerable. I am now begging for the sentient beings to seize the ray of hope that is impossible to obtain. I hereby establish a sect called Jie. Jie means to seize the heaven and earth. I will use the innate treasure, the Immortal Execution Sword Formation, as the treasure to guard the sect. I am the leader of Jie Sect!”
Tongtian’s figure was also illusory for a moment and then became real. The two saint-level majesties swept across the world, naturally making all living beings kneel to the ground again and pay homage.
Without waiting for all living beings to stand up, waves of compassionate mercy came from the West.
Countless Buddha lights were seen blooming in the west, and within each ray of light there was a Buddha sitting, some were the ancient Buddha, some were the future Buddha, some were the starlight Buddha, some were the kind Buddha, and some were the happy Buddha. They were like pure glass, suppressing the Western world with infinite purity.
Beyond the pure Buddha light, the Tree of Nirvana slowly rises.
The tree is green all over, with luxuriant branches and leaves. Although it has a strong breath of life, there is an unconcealable sense of extinction lingering around it, as if everything in the world has fallen into extinction, without any trace of life.
But nirvana is not death, but a preparation for another flourishing life.
Two supreme and holy figures sit in the west, facing each other across the pond, constantly recounting the true meaning of various Buddhas.
One of them had a calm expression, holding a treasure banner in his hand and sitting on a golden lotus. He was none other than the Guide Taoist.
One of them had a smiling face, holding a wonderful tree in his hand and a green flag on his knees. He was none other than the Taoist Zhunti.
The two looked at each other and smiled at each other. Then the three thousand strands of troubles on their heads fell off at once. Then a fleshy bun grew on its own, and Buddha’s light appeared. There was also a Buddha wheel that kept rotating, lingering behind their heads, emitting six kinds of Buddha’s light, representing the six intentions of great compassion, great serenity, great tranquility, great perfection, great joy, and great bliss.
After that, Jie Yin and Zhunti stood up at the same time and said to the Heaven: “According to the command of Heaven, the two of us will now jointly create Buddhism and transform the West into the Paradise. We must make the West complete and restore its former glory. Heaven is witnessing!”
As soon as these words were spoken, infinite amounts of mysterious and yellow golden energy of merit gathered in the sky again, and the amount gathered this time was even greater than when the Three Pure Ones became saints, and was second only to the merit when Nuwa created the human race.
But it is not difficult to understand. After all, the six of them have to fulfill their duties as gods, so naturally, gods will bestow merits on them.
In addition to fulfilling their duties, Jie Yin and Zhunti must also vow to restore the West to its former glory, which will naturally receive more blessings from Heaven.
Then the two began to make various vows, a total of 49, collectively known as the 49 Great Vows. Every time a great vow was made, the heaven and earth shook, until the 49th vow was made, all living beings did not know how many times they were shaken, but they still knelt on the ground and shouted: “Saint Jieyin, have mercy, Saint Zhunti, have mercy!”
Afterwards, the two Lords of the West took advantage of this opportunity and immediately began to preach Buddhism to the entire prehistoric world. The West was also enveloped by an inexplicable force, which gradually gathered the remaining fragments and turned them into a huge world.
This world is called the Western Paradise, and it replaces the West. Although it is only one tenth the size of the East, it is still large enough.
During the time when these two Lords of the West were preaching, the entire prehistoric world was filled with the sounds of Sanskrit and the scent of sandalwood. The phantoms of the eight heavenly gods appeared everywhere, explaining the eight Buddhist scriptures to all living beings.
The flying goddesses danced gracefully, the goddess of good fortune sang ballads, the shadows of the Bodhi tree were everywhere, and below them were the seven treasures of Buddha, such as relics, gold beads, agate, and jadeite. The lotus flowers bloomed on the quiet bamboo, with a refreshing fragrance, the epiphyllums grew, and gold and jade rang together.
The two of them talked for a full thirty-six days, and it can be said that the entire prehistoric world understood the Buddhist scriptures and various Buddhas.
However, Buddhism is very different from the various Taoist teachings available today. It places more emphasis on the cultivation of the Taoist mind, which makes some monks feel uninterested and they just listen to it to kill time.
However, the vastness of the ancient world is incalculable. Even if only a small number of cultivators are yearning for it, it would be enough for the West to recover some of its vitality.
With the successive births of the five saints, the entire prehistoric world became unusually peaceful, and even the Heavenly Court and the Witch Clan were the same.
The reason is simple. Originally there was only one mountain pressing on their heads, but now there are five more. Naturally, this makes them much more solemn. They are afraid of angering the six saints in some way, which will eventually lead to a catastrophic disaster.
After the five saints became saints, they held grand banquets. Anyone who was willing could come to the banquet, and each banquet lasted for a thousand years.
According to the order of becoming a saint, three banquets were first held on Mount Kunlun, and each saint preached in succession. Later, two more banquets were held in the West, which was really an eye-opener for all living beings.
During this period, the Emperor of Heaven and the Twelve Ancestral Witches would come to every event in person and would not leave until the last moment. Whenever a banquet began, they would be the first to arrive.
The leaders of the two tribes treated the saint’s disciples with smiles and even gave them magical treasures. As the only disciple of Yuanshi Tianzun, Guangchengzi naturally got the most.
When facing the saint, these arrogant clan leaders put aside their dignity and praised the saint’s great benevolence and compassion with countless words of flattery.
The Twelve Ancestral Witches even used the excuse of Pangu to stay in Kunlun Mountain for a long time, visiting the Three Pure Ones every day. It was really jaw-dropping and people couldn’t understand why these Ancestral Witches, who were usually very irritable, would do this.
However, in the face of the flattery of the Twelve Ancestral Witches, the Three Pure Ones seemed to be indifferent. Even though they reluctantly tolerated the other party living in Kunlun Mountain, they usually did not have a good face towards them.
Come to think of it, you don’t burn incense on normal days, but now you pray to Buddha. I didn’t see you so eager before you became a saint, but after you became a saint, you started to call you brothers. No wonder others don’t want to pay attention to you.
Although Di Jun also wanted to stay, he had no excuses, so he left an invitation, saying that Nuwa would preside over the ceremony ten thousand years later, and he would have a celestial marriage with the two lunar goddesses Xihe and Changxi.
Sanqing did not comment on this. Although he accepted the invitation, he did not say whether he would come or not.
However, Guangchengzi felt that Yuanshi Tianzun would not go. After all, Di Jun had just handed over the invitation and Yuanshi Tianzun directly threw it to him, obviously asking him to go instead.
However, he couldn’t care less about so many things now. He was anxious to set up a large formation on Kunlun Mountain to help Yuanshi Tianzun select disciples.
After the Three Pure Ones founded their religion, they began to recruit disciples. Otherwise, what kind of sect is this?
Not long ago, Laozi accepted a human named Xuandu as his disciple.
Guangchengzi recognized Xuandu, because before Laozi explained the great way of the golden elixir, a young man came over, and Xuandu was that young man.
“No wonder I didn’t recognize this Master Xuandu. It turns out that the name Xuandu was given by Master Uncle. I’m really lucky to be able to worship the Saint Taiqing as my master. But as long as I don’t worship that one, anyone is fine.”
Guangchengzi thought with a hint of strangeness, and then continued to pay attention to the dozens of people who were trying to break through the Kunlun Mountain Road.
Ever since the Three Pure Ones announced that they wanted to recruit disciples, the entire prehistoric world has been in an uproar.
Almost every moment, countless monks rush to Kunlun Mountain, just to worship the saint as their teacher and listen to his true teachings.
But the Tao cannot be passed on lightly, so even if Yuanshi Tianzun did not explain in detail, Guangchengzi still set up dozens of large formations.
Originally, he wanted to cover the entire Kunlun Mountain, but was resisted by the immortals of the Jiejiao Sect, so he only covered one mountain path.
At the same time, he also asked Dapeng to make it clear on his behalf that only by passing this mountain path could one become a member of the Chan Sect. Otherwise, no matter how unparalleled one’s aptitude, talent, or luck one had, it would not work.
