Hogwarts: Voldemort, don’t stop me from studying

The owl hooted solemnly, the familiar fear in its eyes again.
So Wade did not get closer. He changed back into human form and first made the buoy as big as a boat so that they could rest on it. Then he took out the magic telescope and observed it carefully.
From the outside, it looks like an ordinary, developed island.
There are clean beaches, lush woods, several fishing boats parked at the pier, and a lighthouse standing on the cliff.
A road that could accommodate two cars running side by side stretched out into the dense forest, and it was unclear where it led to. But when he was in the air, Vader saw a building with white light deep in the island.
However, wherever he looked, he did not see a single person, but found several surveillance cameras.
Vader pulled a quill from his pocket and folded it with force.
The next second, accompanied by the sound of firecrackers exploding, Dumbledore appeared beside him.
“Did you find it?” The principal said briskly, “It was faster than I thought.”
“We’ve arrived. It’s the island ahead.” Wade said, “The owl stopped me from getting closer. Maybe they have some long-range weapons…”
“Om——”
Before Vader could finish his words, a strange buzzing sound came from the island.
The sound waves spread out in circles, and by the time they reached the buoy, they were already very weak.
But the expressions of both of them changed slightly at the same time.
“Feel that, Vader?” Dumbledore asked, his hair seeming to float slightly.
“Ah.”
Vader responded, looking down at his palms, curling his fingers and then stretching them out.
He had a vague feeling of being electrocuted—the magic power in his body seemed to be a weak electric current, causing slight numbness and tingling, and his muscles also contracted and trembled.
It’s very subtle, so subtle that it’s almost hard to detect.
So how do the people on the island feel at this moment?
Chapter 387 Metal Shield
“Woooo…”
Rita Skeeter held a piece of wood in her teeth with practiced teeth, and curled up on the small bed, shivering.
During these days, she hid in this cell and suffered this torture from time to time.
Sometimes it would be half an hour, sometimes it would be two or three hours. The people on the island seemed to firmly believe that she was still in that place, so they would launch surprise attacks from time to time, and the search was never relaxed.
Rita originally thought that they would mistakenly think that she had escaped, thus giving her a chance to escape!
Later she figured it out – perhaps it was the message she conveyed to Weed Grey that exposed her situation.
For the thousandth time, I regretted not bringing all my friends’ books with me.
Fortunately, the children in the cell had been protecting her. They shared their food with Rita and let her sleep on the only bed in the room. When she groaned in pain, the children would shout along to cover up her voice.
When someone patrols outside, Rita will transform into a beetle to avoid the sight of the man in black.
After a few days, Rita had discovered that some of the children in the cell were also wizards – at least they had magical abilities.
Every time the buzzing sounded, they would curl up on the ground motionless, with expressions of pain on their faces, but not say a word, as if they had gotten used to it.
But Rita felt that no matter how many times she did it, she would never get used to this torture.
When she recovered from the pain, she told these children and herself again and again:
“It will be soon… they will come soon… we will be saved…”
“who are they?”
A girl named Haley asked in a soft voice.
She has light golden hair, skin so pale that it seems transparent, and a pair of green eyes that are pure and innocent.
It’s a pity that her appearance is very ordinary, her teeth are overbite, her chin protrudes a lot, and her appearance is weird and ugly.
There were no pretty children in this cell except a girl named Maybelle, and the looks of these children did not conform to the public’s aesthetic standards.
At first, Rita laughed at their appearance in her heart and subconsciously made up some sarcastic descriptions in her mind.
But after spending a few days with them, she finally realized that she should not judge others by their appearance – these were the ugliest children she had ever seen, but also the kindest.
Rita thought for a moment and said very seriously, “He is the most powerful wizard in the world… and the most powerful alchemist in the future.”
“Wizards?” Haley tilted her head and whispered, “Wizards can’t do anything to them…Magic is useless here.”
“It’s different… they’re different.”
Rita Skeeter herself felt that this statement was empty and unconvincing, so she added: “A powerful wizard could burn the entire island with one spell.”
“Then we would have been burned to death, wouldn’t we?” Mabel, another older brown-haired girl, said coldly, “I hate magic. If it weren’t for magic, how could I have ended up like this?”
She rolled up her sleeves, revealing the layers of scars and countless needle holes on her arms.
Rita was speechless.
She already knew that the children here were roughly divided into two types – those without magical abilities like Hayley, and those with magic like Mabel.
The latter’s situation is much more miserable.
Except for being taken for blood draws and examinations occasionally, Hailey and the others were just locked up. The food every day was not delicious, but at least it was sufficient and there was no need to worry about starving.
Mabel and another boy named Luke were much more miserable. They were taken away almost every day, and when they were sent back, they would become very weak and have new scars on their bodies.
Sometimes they would suddenly vomit, convulse, or have a fever in the middle of the night. The other children would skillfully clean up the dirt and take care of them, and the guards would also bring them some appropriate medicines.
Luke had been terrified about being taken away, and Rita worried every day that he would sell her out to improve his situation.
But to her surprise, no matter how frightened the child was, he gritted his teeth and didn’t say a single word.
Mabel seemed to see what Rita was thinking. Once, after treating the wound, she suddenly said to Rita: “Your worry is unnecessary.”
Rita looked at her in surprise.
“Our value lies in the magic in our bodies that cannot be shaken off.” Mabel sat against the wall and said expressionlessly, “Even if I betray you, it would only be one more experiment. Our situation cannot be changed at all.”
“Experimental subjects?” Rita reacted and asked angrily, “These Muggles want to steal your magic?”
Mabel didn’t say yes or no, but stared blankly at the small window and murmured, “It would be nice if it could really be stolen.”
“How can this be possible?” Rita retorted subconsciously: “If there is no magic…if there is no magic…”
——If there is no magic, what is the difference between this and a normal person suddenly becoming disabled?
But suddenly, Rita thought of what happened to Mabel and she couldn’t bring herself to speak.
Suddenly, there was a jingling sound outside the cell door, as if metal keys and bells were colliding with each other as someone walked.
Rita quickly turned into a beetle and was about to crawl into the dirty pillow, when she suddenly saw all the children in the cell jump up and rush to the side close to the corridor.
They grabbed the iron railings with both hands, as if trying to squeeze their faces out and look outside desperately.
Rita hesitated, and curiosity prompted her to fly over and land on Mabel’s hair.
Mabel shook her head in dissatisfaction, but did not drive her away.
Then Rita saw several men who looked burly and oppressive passing by in the corridor.
The person in the lead was wearing a mask, had a bunch of silver keys hanging around his waist, and held a stack of lists in his hands, and as he walked there was a jingle, jingle, jingle sound.
Several people walked past.
Not just this one, the children in all the cells were lying on the railings, not speaking or moving, just staring at the passersby.
Rita didn’t understand why they reacted like that and wanted to poke Mabel’s face with her tentacles to ask her to explain to her, but suddenly she heard the sound of jingling bells getting louder and louder.
That group of people turned back so quickly.
The difference is that this time there is a teenage boy among them.
The child was very thin, and his eyes revealed deep despair and helplessness. He seemed to have lost consciousness, and his body was just moving forward mechanically.
The tinkling sound gradually approached, and then suddenly stopped.
He stopped in front of the cell where Mabel and the others were held, looked down at the list in his hand, and said, “Hayley Cox.”
Haley’s face suddenly turned pale and she stood there motionless.
The children around her looked at her in shock.
Mabel subconsciously shouted, “No—how could there be Haley? She’s so young!”
The masked man looked up at her and said with a smile, “It’s Mabel… teach her a lesson.”
Just as he finished speaking, the man behind him suddenly pulled out a round, fat gun and pointed it at Mabel.
Mabel’s eyes suddenly widened.
Luke, who was standing next to him, rushed out: “Mabel!”
He threw the girl over, and Rita felt her vision spinning. She subconsciously tried to fly up, but Luke held her down with one hand.
The boy whispered in a trembling, frightened voice, “Don’t move!”
Rita was stunned for a moment, and then she lost the chance to fly away, and was directly pressed down by the two people –
Luke’s palms pressed her to the floor, then Maybelle’s body, and then Luke’s body on top.
The two men twitched and trembled, letting out hoarse and painful screams, like two wounded wild beasts.
Rita was stunned.
She again vaguely felt the pain as if all the magic in her body was rebelling, but because she was blocked by the two children, she only felt a slight stinging pain.
The ones facing some kind of attack were Mabel and Luke, who usually remained silent when the buzzing sound occurred, now they kept wailing.
Rita tried hard to see through Luke’s fingers that the door of the cell was opened, Haley stood stiffly, and then was carried out by a man like a chicken.
The jingling sound faded away, and then the sound of the door being locked was heard. Only then did the children move as if the spell had been lifted.
The other prisoners who had not been taken away were very grateful and began to talk and move in a low voice. In this cell, other children rushed over and helped Mabel and the other two to lie down on the bed.
“You were so impulsive, Mabel—and you, Luke,” one child said in horror. “I almost thought you were going to be taken away, too.”
