Chapter 419 The Visitor is Not Friendly

"Most importantly, we must reclaim the Lingfeng Mountains, which contain oil."

Zoro's eyes suddenly turned cold, and his gaze became sinister.

"If my father finds out that I've lost the Linfeng Mountains, I'm completely finished."

He patted the bodyguard on the shoulder: "Go quickly, call all your men over here. Take this opportunity to wipe them out in one fell swoop. We can't let them get away."

"Yes, sir!"

The bodyguard didn't dare to delay. He immediately took out his phone, quickly walked to the side, and made arrangements in a low voice.

......

On the other side, Xu Nian and Xu Xi were completely unaware that they were being targeted. They had just finished a pleasant lunch and were leaning back in their chairs, comfortably burping.

"This restaurant is pretty good." Xu Nian rubbed her full stomach and waved her hand, calling out in Chinese, "Boss, the bill."

The boss greeted us with a smile. He was also from the East, and hearing a familiar language in a foreign land made him feel especially warm and welcome.

"Are you two here for tourism? You look unfamiliar. Where in China are you from?"

After paying the bill, he chatted with Xu Nian about everyday things.

"Yes, that's right." Xu Nian didn't hide anything. "We're from Yuncheng."

"Yuncheng?" The boss's eyes lit up, and a look of surprise appeared on his face.

"What a coincidence! My daughter went to university in Yuncheng. In a way, we're practically from the same hometown."

"What a coincidence! That's such a wonderful fate!"

"you do not say!"

When his daughter was mentioned, the boss's face instantly lit up with pride, and his tone was full of satisfaction.

"After she graduated, she joined the Sinian Group in Yuncheng. It's a huge company, a flagship enterprise of our country, with businesses all over the world. The goods for my restaurant are all bought from them, haha."

"She's doing well now, and she'll be much more successful than this uneducated old man like me in the future."

Xu Nian and Xu Xi exchanged a glance and smiled knowingly.

"Boss, how many years have you been in North America? This restaurant looks very well run."

The boss raised his hand and touched his chin, his gaze drifting into the distance as if reminiscing about the past. After a few seconds of silence, he slowly spoke: "If you count it up, it must have been thirty or forty years."

"Sigh, it's all tears when I think about it."

He sighed softly, his voice filled with bitterness.

"Back then, my family was poor and I couldn't afford to go to school. I dropped out after only a few years of schooling. I also offended someone in my hometown and couldn't even get a meal. I had no choice but to leave my hometown and come to this unfamiliar place to make a living."

"You've certainly had a tough journey," Xu Nian sighed. "Now that you own a restaurant and are the boss, you've finally established yourself here."

"Having opened a restaurant and become a boss, I can say I've finally established myself here."

"It wasn't easy, it was so difficult." The boss waved his hand, a bitter look in his eyes. "When I first came here, I couldn't speak the language, I didn't have legal status, and these white people were xenophobic. I didn't have any skills to rely on, so I could only do illegal work, the hardest jobs, just to barely fill my stomach."

"At the time, I thought that if I had the opportunity to learn more, I wouldn't have to live such a difficult life."

"Later, I was forced to work during the day and learn languages and skills from others at night. I worked hard and saved up little by little until I finally had this small shop and could make a living in peace."

"I've heard that things have improved a lot in China in the last two years. Thanks to the help of Mr. Xu from the Sinian Group, no more children are dropping out of school to work because they can't afford to go to school. Mr. Xu is such a good person, his good deeds are immeasurable, and he is the pride of our nation."

......

When the fellow sees the fellow, tears well up.

The more the boss talked, the more he clicked with the two of them. He pulled up a stool and sat down next to them, took out his own brewed wine, and insisted on having a few drinks with Xu Nian, chatting away about everyday things.

Unable to join in their conversation, Xu Xi quietly leaned against the window, a glass of red wine in front of him, gently swirling the wine glass.

She glanced out the window, and as her gaze swept across the street corner, she suddenly sensed something was amiss.

Several unfamiliar black cars were parked haphazardly along the roadside and under the trees, seemingly without any order. However, upon closer inspection, it was clear that all the cars were facing the restaurant's entrance.

Xu Xi frowned slightly, a bad premonition rising in his heart.

The next second, the doors of those black cars were pushed open at the same time, and more than a dozen burly men in black clothes wearing sunglasses got out of the cars. They walked in unison and menacingly toward the restaurant.

Xu Xi's brows furrowed instantly. Without the slightest hesitation, he grabbed Xu Nian's sleeve, stood up, and said to the restaurant owner, "We have other matters to attend to, please excuse us."

After saying that, she pulled Xu Nian along and quickly walked towards the back door of the restaurant.

Before the boss could react, he watched the two figures hurrying away, waved with a smile, and shouted, "Take care, come again soon!"

Before his hand could land, a loud "bang" echoed as the restaurant's glass door was kicked open, slamming heavily to the ground and scattering shards of glass everywhere.

Zoro stormed in with his bodyguards and a group of burly men in black. Without a word, they scattered and ransacked the restaurant, knocking over tables and chairs and smashing utensils on the ground, like Japanese soldiers sweeping through a village, driving away the diners.

"Who...who are you? What do you want?" The restaurant owner was so frightened that he couldn't remember who he had offended. He even started to stammer.

"Young master, we couldn't find it."

"I don't have any here either."

Reports from his subordinates rose and fell, Zoro's face grew increasingly grim, and he suddenly kicked the chair next to him, roaring, "Fuck!"

He rushed to the restaurant owner, grabbed him by the collar, and lifted him up roughly. With his other hand, he pulled out a photo of Xu Xi and Xu Nian, holding it up to his face. "Tell me," he demanded, "where did these two go?"

The owner recognized the people in the photo immediately; they were the two guests who had just left.

Seeing the menacing looks of Zoro and the others, he instantly realized that these people had come with ill intentions and were definitely going to harm those two fellow villagers.

In this foreign land, it's not easy to meet someone from your hometown who speaks your native language. He can't do anything to betray them, much less stab them in the back.

The boss gritted his teeth and said firmly, "I...I don't know."

Just then, one of his men rushed up to Zoro and said in a low, urgent voice, "Young master, this restaurant has a back door. They must have escaped through the back door."

Zoro glared at the shopkeeper, slammed him to the ground, and ordered, "Chase them! Find them, even if you have to dig three feet into the ground!"

"Yes, sir!"
