Chapter 22 Sanji with a Broken Leg

"Are we going to pick up Nami?"

Luffy's eyes lit up when he heard Roon's words, and he became quite excited.

He had wanted to find Nami for a long time, after all, Ron had said that she was an excellent navigator.

Moreover, Ron had told him about Nami's background and her past experiences.

This made Luffy feel sorry for Nami, thinking how pitiful she was.

"That's right, of course we're going to pick up Nami!" Ron nodded with a smile, but a cold glint flashed in his eyes.

"Ron, where is he? How do we get him?" Luffy immediately asked.

The others also looked at Ron with some curiosity.

After all, they had all heard that their pirate crew had a navigator in reserve, but they had never seen this person before, so they were very curious.

Ron slowly spoke, "Cocoyasi Village, Arlong's Paradise!"

"What? It's Arlong Paradise!" Usopp's expression changed drastically upon hearing Ron's words.

He had obviously heard of this place.

"The legendary ruler of the East Blue with a bounty of 2000 million Berries?" Zoro asked slowly.

Even he had heard of Ah Long's bad reputation.

"How about we find a different navigator? We don't necessarily have to go for that Nami, and I can navigate too!" Usopp quickly suggested.

"Shut up, Usopp!"

Before Ron could speak, Luffy interrupted him with displeasure.

"Nami is the navigator I chose, and I want her to be my partner!" Luffy said very seriously.

"Just pick her, why are you being so fierce?" Usopp couldn't help but shrink back.

Having spent these past few days with Luffy and his crew, I've gotten to know Luffy and Zoro quite well.

The two were usually very amiable.

As for Ron, he didn't have much contact with him because Ron was always conducting scientific research in the lounge.

Usopp didn't have much time to talk to him.

But just looking at Zoro and Luffy, Usopp felt that he could still have a pretty easy time in the crew.

Because although these two people are as strong as monsters, they are very simple-minded and easy to talk to.

This is also why Usopp dared to speak frankly about replacing a navigator.

Otherwise, if a pirate captain and vice-captain both say they want to choose a navigator, and he, a newcomer, says he wants to change him.

This would be a major taboo in other pirate crews!

Even among Luffy's crew, no one paid much attention to these things.

That's why Usopp dared to say that; deep down, he understood all of this.

"Alright, let's go, time is running out," Ron said immediately.

Because he had just sent back a message through Xiaobai, the assistant robot mouse.

They learned that Nami was being abused by Arlong and his gang.

Although Ron doesn't have romantic feelings for Nami and isn't a simp, she is still his partner.

How can we allow our own people to be bullied by Ah Long's gang?

He can only bully his own people.

Nobody else will do!

"Usopp, you'll be in charge of navigation!" Ron immediately said.

The other crew members were not very good at navigation, especially Luffy and Zoro, who were terrible at directions. Roon was not much better than them.

As for Alvida's men, Ron has already dismissed them.

When Merry went to deliver the bounty money to Crow and the others, Ron told them that they didn't need to come back.

They were also given a stern warning: if they dared to return to Xirob Village, their fate would be 100 times worse than death.

These people naturally knew that Ron was not joking.

These people even feared Ron more than Zoro and Luffy.

Because if Zoro and Luffy don't kill them, at most they'll just beat them up.

But if Ron does some experiments, that would be terrifying.

They had often heard of those evil scientists who liked to do things like cloning research and gene experiments.

They love using human bodies for modification, and they don't want to be used as guinea pigs by Ron.

As if granted a pardon, they fled and vowed never to be pirates again.

In fact, if these people hadn't been without bounties on them, Ron would have already gone to exchange them for bounties as well.

So now Luffy and his crew only have 4 people left.

But Ron had no interest in helping with the voyage; he wanted to continue his own research.

That leaves Zoro, Luffy, and Usopp.

Fortunately, two of the three are monsters, so there's no need to worry about stamina.

"I estimate the glider boots will be ready in another half a day!" Ron quickly got to work.

As he produced more and more products, he also gained a certain understanding of science.

After all, every time he looked at the blueprints, it felt like a teacher was instructing him on certain scientific knowledge.

However, Ron is still a certain level below those real scientists.

Therefore, he is a novice scientist, waiting to one day become a veteran, a soaring eagle, and a magnificent roc.

Half a day later, Ron finally finished making the gliding boots, but he had almost run out of points.

"Wow, Ron, you can actually fly!"

Luffy looked at Ron, who was suspended in mid-air as if he were walking on thin air, and immediately roared excitedly.

"These gliding boots are only slightly better than Moonwalk, with the added benefit of gliding for several dozen meters."

Ron experimented with the boots' effects while comparing them to Moonwalk from the Six Styles of the Navy.

He discovered that these gliding boots were essentially an enhanced version of the Moonwalk.

"Well, it's better than nothing!"

In the original work, Sanji worked so hard to learn Moonwalk, but Ron now easily possesses a similar ability.

He was already very content.

"Um?"

Thinking of Sanji, Ron suddenly paused slightly and landed on the ship in an instant.

His complexion was not good; it was even somewhat ashen.

"Ron, let me play with you!"

Luffy immediately surrounded them, wanting to try on the gliding boots as well.

However, Zoro noticed that Ron's expression was off, so he went up to him and asked, "Ron, what's wrong?"

Ron's voice was somewhat cold as he said, "That merman is really ruthless. Our future chef had his leg broken by him."

"What kind of chef?"

When Luffy heard about the cook, his eyes lit up and he excitedly ran over.

He was more interested in the cook than the glider, especially the cook who could cook delicious meat.

"Baratie, a floating restaurant, boasts the most talented and skilled chefs!"

"We need a cook on our ship. I originally planned to find him after picking up Nami."

"Unexpectedly, for some reason, that guy ended up following Nami and even clashed with Arlong's group."

"It's just that his strength was a bit lacking; his leg was broken by Ah Long."

Ron began to speak slowly.

In fact, he himself was quite puzzled when he talked about this.

Why is Sanji not staying in Baratie? Why did he go to Arlong Park?

Perhaps because of him, the plot has become increasingly distorted.

"Ron, how did you know about this?" Usopp asked, very curiously.

"The robot I made is now at Aaron's Paradise!"

Ron gave Usopp a brief explanation, but didn't elaborate.

After all, Xiaobai was a gift from the system, and Ron can't create it yet, but that doesn't stop him from knowing about Alon Paradise.

"What are you waiting for? Let's go! I don't want a lame cook!" Luffy suddenly became excited.
