Walking alone with a sword, slaying ghosts and gods

Chapter 233: Demons gather to protect the way and slay the calamity

Chapter 233: Demons gather to protect the way and slay the calamity (End, Part )
Essence corresponds to the physical body.

Qi corresponds to energy.

God corresponds to spirit.

Essence, energy and spirit are the three treasures of Taoism. In Taoist practice, there is a long journey of refining and cultivating these three.

The highest standard of achievement for Taoist practice in the mortal world is: ascension.

It is recorded in ancient texts that there are two ways for monks to ascend to the upper realms. One is to ascend by turning into a rainbow, and the other is to become an immortal in the flesh!

The process of rainbow transformation and ascension is to draw in the immortal light from the upper realm to reshape the cultivator’s body during the ascension process.

When the physical body becomes immortal, it means that the main body does not need to change much. It can be nourished and strengthened by the immortal light and ascend to become immortal.

As for these two, according to the records in the ascension classics, the achievement of the Taoist method of becoming immortal through the physical body is far higher than that of ascension through rainbow body transformation, because when the physical body is become immortal, the essence remains unchanged, and when one reaches the immortal world, the potential is endless and it is more suitable for cultivation.

In fact, this is very easy to understand. When drawing the same amount of fairy light, the former needs to burn the original body and reshape the spiritual body, while the latter makes up for the gap on the basis of the original extremely high foundation. The difference is obvious.

Many practitioners, because of the difficulty of cultivating to become immortals, have cut off the part of physical cultivation and simply settled for the second best, pursuing the rainbow body to ascend to heaven. This is a wrong path on the right path of Taoism, but everyone has different aptitudes and talents.

Some cultivators do not have sufficient aptitude, and only by practicing this method can they have a chance to ascend. If they continue to pursue perfection in the Dharma, they may end up on the wrong path.

The world is a sea of suffering, and the cultivator’s body is a precious raft to cross the sea of suffering. Before being promoted to the Nascent Soul stage, the body is extremely precious.

Even after being promoted to the Nascent Soul stage, it would be very difficult to repair the body if it was cut into pieces.

The path of Taoism practiced in the Ten Thousand Beasts Incarnation Palace is to focus on essence, focus on the physical body, and do one’s best to repair and reinforce the treasure raft. Even if it is impossible to reach the other side by this, one must try to send oneself to a place close to the other side, to a shallow place where the wind has stopped and the waves have subsided.

“If a person is not burdened by the form, he will see the Great Luotian before his eyes!”

Above the East China Sea, beneath the calamity clouds, Huang Longzi recited in a low voice a Taoist verse he had received from that disciple. He felt that it touched his heart, as if it summarized his lifelong practice.

The Southern School’s Spiritual Art of All Beasts focuses on beasts, and blindly pursues power, loses oneself, and loses the true nature of Taoism.

The general outline of the transformation of the True Spirit of the Northern School of Xuanmen is centered on humans, using the blood of the True Spirit to cultivate and train one’s own essence, aiming to abandon all acquired external constraints, cultivate the supreme essence body, and prove the Tao.

Huang Longzi believes that the “transformation and ascension” mentioned in ancient books and sages, at least part of the meaning is to transform into a flying dragon or bird and ascend to the sky.

It can be seen that as long as one does not lose oneself, there is nothing wrong in pursuing true spiritual changes. It is just that ordinary Taoists cannot understand it clearly.

“But the Taoism I created is not for mediocre people to practice.”

Blood and Qi nourish the body. If the inner essence, Qi and blood are not strong enough, even the Qi training will be greatly affected. On the contrary, if the Dharma body is strong, breathing in and out to store the vital energy of heaven and earth, you can get twice the result with half the effort. This can be said to be the dual cultivation of Dharma and body, with mutual benefits.

“It’s just that the Taoism of my Ten Thousand Beasts Incarnation Palace is particularly good at refining the body, cultivating the body, and accumulating magical power, but it is still a little lacking in cultivating spiritual consciousness. So I found that guy Huo Lin and exchanged the Burning Passion Curse from him at a huge price… My God, this is my final blow!”

“If this world doesn’t leave a glimmer of hope for our human race… I will split the sky and ascend to heaven!”

It was as if it was the roar of a dying dragon. At this moment, Huang Longzi took the initiative to release his inner defenses. Therefore, under the dark red sky, ghost sounds chirped, and the outer demons were like flies chasing after stench, circling and sweeping down, like a group of demons devouring his body.

However, it was at this moment that Huang Longzi activated the Passion Spell.

This spell of burning passion is a heart fire spell, which can burn the spirit of the cultivator to transform it into his own magic power. However, once it is overused, fire poison will enter the brain, and madness is the lightest consequence. Originally, Huang Longzi obtained this spell as a final preparation, to burn away all fears and distractions between life and death, and to make that desperate gamble.

However, now, the numerous inner demons and calamities have merged with Huang Longzi. Under the burning fire of the Passion Curse, the trickle of magic power is like a stream, flowing into Huang Longzi’s already exhausted meridians.

Leading the devil into the body and burning it with the method of heart fire is certainly a tricky method, and it will definitely cause the devil to enter the heart and be difficult to get rid of, but this is also the method with the greatest chance of success at the moment.

Although Huang Longzi was fully focused on responding to the calamity, he could also sense the outside world, sense the Yinshan Immortal, sense Lu Cheng, sense the Fire Scale Boy Qi Tianyan, and sense a lot of information.

How could a man like him be willing to risk his life on Lu Cheng and Qi Tianyan’s ability to stop the cultivators from both the righteous and evil sects?

The fire in the heart refines the devil, and the fire helps the earth.

At this moment, the Taoist who obtained the last powerful magic power stood in the air, put his index finger, middle finger and ring finger together, and stabbed the sky with an inclined sword.

“Crack!”

“Crack!”

With two loud bangs like muffled thunder, the thumb and little finger of Huang Longzi’s forward arm were actually broken by his own violent and overwhelming magic power. Broken bones and blood splattered everywhere, it was extremely tragic.

However, he used his finger as a sword, and the sword force and pure rainbow light burst out again in an instant!

At the last moment, Huang Longzi believed not in flying swords or magic weapons, but chose to trust his own body. He used himself as a sword and exerted his last magic power to the fullest to unleash the most domineering power.

boom.

The golden-red sword energy swept across the sky, breaking through the air and rushing into the calamity clouds to cut through the sky.

Huang Longzi’s Taoist robe fluttered in the wind, and his gray hair turned as white as snow at a speed visible to the naked eye, making him look like a demon!
The startled rainbow entered the calamity cloud, rushing and spreading. For a moment, the sky and the earth seemed to have lost their color. The wind and clouds suddenly changed, and the clouds surged.

When his physical and mental power was pushed to the extreme, Huang Longzi seemed to see a huge and terrifying eye suddenly appear outside the sky that he had cut through. What a demonic eye it was, looking at him with greed, ecstasy, tyranny, and bloodlust, which almost drowned Huang Longzi’s body and mind into a dark icy abyss.

However, the old Taoist said to the cold eyes in his heart outside the void: “Beginning… This is just a beginning! You must remember!”

“Challenging us? We are more than welcome… Delicious human Yuanying, you must grow stronger and stronger! Hahahahahahahaha…”

The rift in the sky closed, isolating the inside and outside, and then drops of green dew fell: the rare treasure from heaven, the fairy dew from the spiritual clouds.

Once the Nascent Soul Tribulation is over, the void outside the sky will surely release spiritual cloud and fairy dew.

These are some of the best spiritual objects in the universe that can restore vitality. In most cases, they will only appear a little bit after a great cultivator has passed the tribulation.

…The golden elixir is refined and returns to its true nature, soaring up to the Niwan Palace to merge with the cultivator’s spiritual consciousness. Then it returns to the lower dantian in the abdomen, merging with the golden elixir’s true qi to become a life fetus.

Build the platform, nourish the fetus, and then transform the fetus into the primordial infant. Nurturing it silently, until the primordial infant is grown and healthy, slowly goes out of the heavenly gate, turns around and comes back, and the path to immortality is achieved.

Huang Longzi’s risky move not only enabled him to quickly break through the heavenly tribulation, but also caught off guard the righteous and evil cultivators who had gathered on the shores of the East China Sea with their hearts blinded by the tribulation.

Clearly, there was still a small part of the calamity in the sky, but it was cut off in one fell swoop. It was obvious that Huang Longzi had successfully transformed from a Taoist fetus into a Nascent Soul, and had become the number one person in the Tongxuan Realm in a thousand years.

A small number of people turned around and fled on the spot, determined to move far away from home to avoid the disaster.

However, slightly more than half of the righteous and evil sects of monks at this moment each controlled their magic weapons and besieged them:

It is a consensus in this world that every time a Jindan Zhenren passes through the forty-nine tribulations, there will be a long period of weakness. It is unknown how many Jindan Zhenren have died at the hands of their enemies because of this.

Yuanying Zhenjun had just survived a heavenly tribulation. How many levels of his magic power could he recover? Three levels, or one level? Or even less.

“Young man, I’m going to fend off that old ghost from Yinshan, and I’ll leave the rest to you. It’s not that I don’t want to help, but I was besieged by He Tianyan, Yan Zixiu and the others before, and I suffered some internal injuries. What’s more, you are your own master, so you should do more.”

The Fire Scale Boy Qi Tianyan lazily recited a sentence to Lu Cheng, then controlled a beam of fire and rushed towards Yinshan Zhenren.

In his opinion, this was a good deal. Huang Longzi had signed a contract. If he helped him once today, he would unconditionally help him three times in the future, and he could not refuse because of danger.

As for whether Lu Cheng would die when being besieged by more than thirty Jindan masters, he didn’t care. After all, he was your master, and you could save him or not.

Yinshan Zhenren is an expert in the art of poison and is famous throughout the world. However, fire magic is extremely effective in restraining poison. Coupled with his own innate spiritual body, Huo Lin Tongzi is confident that he can definitely suppress this man.

Looking at the Jindan masters and even a few Jindan Zhenren who were attacking from all directions, Lu Cheng frowned slightly, but he had no way to retreat now.

Lu Cheng pressed the invisible flying sword in his hand that was the combination of the five elements and directly released the sword energy and thunder sound.

Many Jindan masters flew towards the center of the calamity cloud from all directions.

Because no one dared to get too close to Huang Longzi when he was undergoing the tribulation before. The tribulation cannot be borne by one’s own, but this does not mean that the tribulation will not affect others at all.

If you get too close to being struck by lightning, there will be no way to seek justice.

The Jindan Zhenren in the Tongxuan Realm have experienced severe forty-nine tribulations, and over the years have summed up many methods to disrupt the cultivation of others and their tribulations. One of them is to never get close to them in the early stage of the tribulation when the tribulation force is the heaviest. In the middle and late stages of the tribulation, when most of the tribulation force has been gone, it is time to attack and kill them. The focus of the tribulation force is still on the cultivator, which is almost a combined attack and has the highest chance of success.

However, in the ears of these besieged monks, there was suddenly a sound of thunder, fierce and murderous!

Cheng Weizhen, a cultivator from the Cheng family, a prominent immortal family in Central Earth, and a Golden Elixir True Man, came here not because his mind was blinded by the power of calamity, but because his desire for the Tao was too strong.

He calculated again and again and determined that whether he could gain benefits from this catastrophe was the key to whether he could succeed in cultivation and make further progress in this life.

This disaster is the most likely chance for him to “achieve enlightenment” among all the variables in the future. Although it is a life-or-death situation, he still comes.

Then, he died under Lu Cheng’s sword.

Cheng Weizheng knew that this journey was dangerous, so of course he brought all kinds of magical weapons to protect himself.

Lu Cheng knew that the time for this attack was limited and the opportunity was very rare, so of course he would specifically target the Jindan Zhenren to kill.

The two fought head-on with seven swords, attacking and defending, and Lu Cheng succeeded in killing him, but he was also noticed by other monks present:

“Such swordsmanship, a ghost assassin! It was him, he was the one who killed Sun Tianyi, Shangguan Xuanhui and all the other Taoist friends.”

From the time he made his move to the time he was discovered, Lu Cheng had only killed four Jindan grandmasters and one Jindan Zhenren.

Cheng Weizhen’s defensive magic weapon is a set of talismans, which is quite powerful.

“I am from Lucheng, Guizang Mountain. I am here to guarantee today. If you fellow Taoists retreat immediately, I will guarantee with my life that I will not pursue this matter again. But if you insist on not changing your ways, as your master’s disciple, I can only fight you to the death with my sword.”

Lu Cheng’s body followed the sword light, wandering in the air among the talismans and magical weapons that were thrown at him from all directions, changing nimbly. There was also a mirror light chasing and enveloping him, trapping his body.

Under such circumstances, Lu Cheng was still able to clearly transmit his spiritual consciousness to the monks around him, which showed his sophisticated cultivation and profound swordsmanship.

However, there are only a few monks who still refuse to retreat at this point and can be shaken by these words.

Only a few with relatively the weakest magic power retreated quietly after a slight hesitation.

The situation facing Lu Cheng was not much better.

From being chased and assassinated from behind to being besieged by a group of masters, the pressures faced by the two are completely different.

Especially the Jindan Zhenren cultivators mixed in among them, each of them has his own wonderful experience, and each of them has practiced diligently. Although they are not as good as Huang Longzi, Chi Shenzi and other top cultivators of the time, they are comparable to Yuwen Zheng, Wu Lingjun and others, which is not difficult.

Lu Cheng first roamed in the air using the Five Elements Sword Escape Technique. His shadow disappeared from heaven and earth. It seemed as if his entire body had merged into the void of heaven and earth. Being shadowless and invisible, he was naturally invincible.

However, a female cultivator swept his head with a spiritual mirror and cast a shadow. Although all things in the world are born according to the five elements, Lu Cheng is not really integrated after all. If he can do it, then he is probably not far from jumping out of the five elements. With the current skill, he is still far from this realm.

Various attacks came from all directions, and then large clouds of golden insects emerged around Lu Cheng, layer upon layer, seemingly endless.

The fifth-level spiritual insect, the golden silkworm Gu, which is a hundred-poisonous insect, is cultivated through the secret method of the cultivators. It can’t be harmed by weapons, water or fire, and its vitality is extremely amazing.

Of course, this is only in theory. When Lu Cheng was going through the three minor disasters of fire, the poisonous golden silkworm Gu was blocked by the flames and did not dare to get close at all.

At this moment, facing the siege of many cultivators, large numbers of them were falling, seriously injured, and died. However, at this moment, Lu Cheng could not care about so many things. He changed his spells and practiced various sword techniques and Taoism to the fullest.

He still had the last breath of Samadhi True Fire that he hadn’t spit out, but this true fire was hard to come by and extremely difficult to cultivate. Once used, it would take many years to nurture it again. Unless it was a life-or-death moment, Lu Cheng would never use this killer move and damage his cultivation.
