Dirty blood flowed out of the evil ghosts’ seven orifices. They opened their tongueless mouths and uttered indistinct prayers.

“True Lord, have mercy on us. True Lord, have mercy on us. We know we are wrong. We know we are wrong. Don’t give up. Woo woo woo.”

Wu Gong was silent for a while before he said, “I have a method that can help you escape from the Five Prisons.”

“Although you don’t have to continue to suffer torture, you will be treated like a cow or a horse from now on and follow my decrees. Every year during the Zhongyuan Festival, you will be given nine grains of brown rice and nine spoonfuls of rotten soup to fill your stomach until your souls fly away. Are you willing?”
