She is devoted to cultivating immortality
Chapter 178 Prologue: Previous Life Causes
Chapter 178 Prologue: Previous Life Causes
Qinghua Changle Realm. .
Dongji Miaoyan Palace.
Purple mist and rosy clouds permeate the space~
A middle-aged man who looks extremely majestic, with a solemn appearance, dressed in a rosy robe, sits upright on a nine-colored lotus seat. There are nine-headed lions spitting flames around the throne.
There is nine-colored divine light surrounding his head, radiating thousands of feet of light, and many real people, strong men, Vajra God Kings, golden boys and jade girls are guarding him.
–
He is the “Ten-Directions Heavenly Lord Who Relieves Suffering”.
His duty is to use his divine power to save sentient beings in the ten directions and help them become immortals.
However, the river of love is as high as thousands of feet, and the sea of suffering is as deep as a thousand feet.
Except for those sentient beings who have the wisdom and affinity with the Tao in their previous lives.
The vast majority of sentient beings are troubled by various unknown roots of suffering.
In your entire life, you won’t even be able to learn the truth.
Most people would sneer and not believe it even if they heard it.
Addicted to love, hate, and passion, filled with desires, troubled and delusional, suffering in body and mind, and sinking into eternal damnation.
Even if the Ten Directions Savior of Suffering Heavenly Venerable wanted to help such a creature, there was nothing he could do.
Therefore, the Ten-Direction Savior of Suffering Heavenly Venerable decided to use the fruit of the Tao [Observing the Infinite Living Beings] to understand in detail why the living beings in the ten-direction heavens are trapped, so as to prescribe the right remedy and help them get rid of it.
“All the heavens in the ten directions appear!”
Following the command of the Ten-Directions Savior of Suffering Heavenly Venerable, his words are fulfilled.
Countless worlds appeared before the Ten Directions Savior of Suffering Heavenly Venerable.
“Well, let’s choose this world first. After you finish reading it, you must also express your own opinions.”
The Ten-Directions Savior of Suffering Heavenly Venerable randomly selected a world.
Then he spoke to the golden boy and jade girl around him, as well as the flying gods, immortals, saints, immortals, and good men and women who were listening to his teachings.
Upon hearing this, everyone bowed their heads and said, “Good!”
However, the jade girl who was guarding beside the Ten-Directions Savior of Suffering Heaven pouted for something that could not be detected.
She was a little afraid that Tianzun would ask her questions. Although Tianzun would not blame her if she could not answer them, she was afraid that Tianzun would ask her questions.
It’s embarrassing if you can’t answer the question!
You said you have become an immortal, so do you still care about these things?
Of course I care!
She, Yue Lian, is the Jade Maiden guard of Tianzun.
Let’s not talk about Yue Lian’s little thoughts.
The Ten Directions Rescue Heavenly Venerable directly displayed his supreme power~
嗡
The supreme fruit of the path [observing the infinite sentient beings] evolves.
The world chosen by the Ten-Directions Savior of Suffering Heavenly Venerable temporarily obscured the other countless worlds.
Crossing the “void”, it appears before the Ten Directions Savior of Suffering Heavenly Venerable and all the immortals and saints.
Ripples appeared in the void.
I don’t know whether this world is real or imaginary.
Everyone was watching very seriously. After all, Tianzun would ask some questions in the end.
The picture flows, time, everything, finally determined.——
The world of strange stories.
The setting sun was hanging obliquely. Under a locust tree at the corner of the street, a man was leaning against the tree trunk with a book page covering his face, and papers were scattered in front of him.
A cool breeze blew and the man woke up from his dream. He glanced under the page and saw a pair of delicate and petite embroidered shoes. He thought to himself that he might have encountered some kind of fox goblin or monster. He shuddered and sat up straight.
The page of the book slid down suddenly, and then he saw the little girl.
Her smiling face was still childish as she read his article intently, not even noticing that some leaves had fallen from her double buns tied with brocade ribbons.
Oh, this is not a monster at all, it’s clearly a little girl who sneaked out from some family.
“My dear little girl, aren’t you afraid of these?”
Thinking of the man-eating monsters he had created, he grinned and laughed exaggeratedly.
The little girl ignored him and quickly turned to the last page. She first widened her eyes, then let out a long sigh of relief.
He was confused after reading it. Was his article really that good?
“Brother! How much is this book worth?”
She held the book in both hands and her voice gradually became quieter.
“.I can’t afford too much.”
Although the wind was chilling his neck and he was still hungry, he felt that having someone like his book was more important than anything else.
Watching the little girl in the red jacket and white skirt skipping happily away, he shook his head and began to pack up.
Thinking of how generous he had been in giving away the book just now, and looking at his wallet which had not received a penny today, a feeling of melancholy overwhelmed him again.
“What happened next?”
Since he gave her the book as a present, the little girl would come to him from time to time dressed as a child, telling him her favorite stories and pestering him to listen to them for free.
Her name is Xie Lian, and she is a lively, smart and energetic girl.
“Later,” he said, annoyed by the disturbance, “the monkey died.”
“Ah!” Xie Lian’s eyes turned red when he heard that.
“How could you let him die? You poor scholar are so annoying!”
After saying that, he turned and ran away.
He burst out laughing, even children can tell the difference between rich and poor.
The wind suddenly blew, he brushed off the fallen leaves on his body, stood up and looked into the distance at the imperial city, his eyes seemed to penetrate the mountains, flying eaves and winding streets.
It is said that the imperial city is under the feet of the emperor, but when I got here, no one appreciated my talents.
He tightened his collar, probably because of his mood, his heart was as cold as autumn wind, he was worried even without any worries.
Another year has passed in late autumn, and another year has passed without any news. He is already in his forties, and I don’t know how long he can stay here, in the fleeting time.
The one who died was not the monkey.
Once upon a time, he was highly appreciated by others for his success at a young age. His neighbors and fellow villagers all believed that he had outstanding literary talent and that passing the imperial examination was a piece of cake.
But now, he was over forty and had just been admitted as a tribute student. He had traveled thousands of miles to the foot of the imperial city to wait for an official position to be assigned. His infatuation with ruling the country had been worn away and turned cold during the long wait.
“Here, this is for you.”
Following the sound, he saw Xie Lian coming back and handing him a candied haws.
“Sun Wukong is a good man. You ate my candied haws. Can you please not let him die?”
Xie Lian said this with a serious look on his face.
“How could Tang Seng be so heartless as to drive away Sun Wukong who was protecting him? How could Sun Wukong, who loved his master so much, just turn around and leave?”
Hearing this, he pulled himself out of his sorrow and asked, “What about that?”
Xie Lian held his chin to his hand and frowned, thinking seriously.
Although the little girl is young, she can always come up with some good suggestions. Looking at Xie Lian who was thinking hard, he couldn’t help but hold his chin in thought.
“Hey, how about you kowtow before you leave? As the saying goes, once a teacher, always a father.”
She finally spoke, but when she met his serious gaze she waved her hands around.
“I don’t know, I don’t know, I can’t write stories.”
He couldn’t help but laugh. This young woman was clearly pretending to be stupid while being smart.
“My dear little girl, you spend all day reading storybooks. Aren’t your family members worried about you?”
He still couldn’t bear the doubt and asked out loud.
She whispered, “I sneaked out through a dog hole, I can’t tell anyone about this.”
She imitated the sentences from his book in a serious manner, and her mischievous look made her look like a mouse stealing oil.
“Ah, it’s getting late, we have to go back before Daddy comes home.”
She stood up and ran away two steps, then turned around again.
“Just call me little friend from now on.”
He waved and ran away.
“Little friend.”
He smacked his lips and then smiled. There was a huge age gap between them and she was indeed a younger friend to him.
Dogs bark late at night, people return home in the wind and snow.
The sudden downpour of rain and snow caught him off guard. As he was busy picking up the things, the wind and snow suddenly stopped.
He looked up and saw that it was his friend who used to read books with him every day. She came with an umbrella, but she lowered her eyes recently and was not as cheerful as before. In the teahouse on the corner, the cold wind pulled the door curtain and slammed it against the door frame.
Xie Lian held the teacup in his hand, stubbornly holding back his tears.
At the moment when the door curtain was finally torn down under the weight, a strong wind blew with the sobbing of unbearable sorrow.
It was several months later when I saw her again.
That day was early spring, the second day of the second month, the day when the dragon raises its head.
After a winter, everything comes alive with the arrival of spring.
He was busy chasing away the flying insects under the tree, and when he raised his eyes again, Xie Lian was standing in front of him.
“I am young and inexperienced, and often disturb your peace and quiet.”
A slender hand held up an embroidered bag.
“I’m really sorry, and I hope you’ll forgive me, sir.”
He hadn’t had time to commission it yet.
Xie Lian continued, “After this separation, I’m afraid we may never meet again.”
He was speechless for a long time after listening to the gift. As he took the gift, he reached out and took out a book from his bosom and gave it to him solemnly: “I have nothing to repay you with, so I will give you a book called “Yu Ding Zhi”
She bowed gently and said, “Take care.”
“Take care of yourself.”
He took a step back and lightly pulled his robe, performing the etiquette of a meeting between scholars.
It is hard to find a true friend. The figure gradually fades away, and in a trance he returns to that snowy night.
From Xie Lian’s intermittent words, he learned that her father, an official, had been stripped of his power and thrown into prison during a political reshuffle.
At this point, the monkeys scatter when the tree falls.
He remembered for a long time afterwards that the little girl, who was probably in her twenties at the time, whispered, “People who flatter the weak and praise the strong are no match for those demons and monsters. Demons and monsters eat people, and people in the world destroy their hearts! It’s better to have none of these fake tricks! It’s better to have none of them!”
The person who said this had messy hair and an expression of sadness on his young face.
From then on, he decided to leave the imperial city and return to his hometown.
As he left, he couldn’t help looking back.
Perhaps deep in some government office with blue bricks and red tiles, the little girl who loves to read strange stories might have picked up her embroidery needle and colored thread, and wanted to embroider stitch by stitch to spend the rest of her life.
I heard that the officials who were previously imprisoned were stripped of their official positions and ordered to return home.
Gently stroking the patterns on the embroidered bag with his fingers, he recalled that chaotic snowy night.
Although they drank tea instead of wine, he was also slightly tipsy. He told stories to express all his grievances to his friend. It was she who said the words “It doesn’t matter if you don’t want it” with tears in her eyes.
He couldn’t help but sigh, he was not as smart as a little girl.
The officialdom is dark and the career is unsuccessful. I thought this was what I wanted in my life, but in fact I was just tying myself up in knots. It would be better for me to go home.
After returning to his hometown, he devoted himself to writing vernacular novels, which were Xiaoyou’s favorite stories.
A few years later, he thought hard all night and wrote down the three words “Journey to the West” under the faint morning light.
I have put all my efforts into this masterpiece, but I wonder if my friends can still read it.
The scene suddenly stopped from then on.
“What do you think about this matter?”
Asked the Ten-Directions Savior of Suffering Heavenly Venerable, who was sitting on the nine-colored lotus seat.
It’s time~
There was an immortal named Chang Qing, who stood up from his seat, bowed and walked forward.
He had white hair and a youthful face, eyes like stars, and was wearing a Taoist robe of blue clouds and white sun. Holding a whisk in his hand, he said respectfully, “Heavenly Lord, this little girl has sufficient Taoist roots, perfect wisdom, and has experienced many ups and downs. She knows the vicissitudes of life. If she hears the Tao, believes in it, and practices it, she will surely become an immortal!”
“Master Chang Qing is right. Ghosts eat people, and people in the world kill their hearts! What the little girl said is really good. We can put it to the test.”
Another amiable looking celestial being agreed.
“Good! This girl has a pure heart and is destined to be with the Tao. I want to go to this world to save her.”
A cold voice came.
Looking for the sound, it was a woman, she was dressed in white, and had a beautiful face. Her eyes were twinkling with stars, with a bit of coldness, and she was indifferent to people from thousands of miles away. She was truly unparalleled in elegance, with black hair cascading down like flowing clouds, scattered around her waist, with a bit of casualness, and an elegant temperament, as gentle as jade.
“Huh? Madam Jingyi hasn’t accepted a disciple in nine thousand years, but now she has taken a fancy to this little girl.”
“No wonder, no wonder, the woman presented by the Heavenly Venerable is a superior person with a predestined relationship with Taoism, and Your Majesty can accept it if she is moved.”
“Hahaha, I really want to pass the Golden Elixir to that girl.”
Immediately afterwards, dragons, ghosts, gods, immortals, saints, gods, fairy children, real people, real monarchs and so on and so forth each expressed their own views and opinions.
The Jade Maiden Yue Lian, the guard beside the Ten Directions Rescue Heavenly Lord, listened to what the seniors had been saying, praising the Heavenly Lord for showing the little girl in this story of this world.
But there is no mention of another important figure, the man who wrote “Journey to the West”.
This person is obviously very important, and even has more scenes than the little girl.
She was confused.
So he walked up to the Ten Directions Rescue Heavenly Venerable and bowed respectfully, saying, “Master, there is one thing I don’t understand. Please enlighten me.”
The Ten Directions Rescue Heavenly Venerable nodded slightly and said, “Speak!”
“Hmm~ That’s right, sir. I see that all the seniors are praising the little girl, and occasionally talking about the corrupt world and the fickleness of emotions.
But the only thing you haven’t mentioned is that the most important person in my opinion, who you have displayed with your supreme power, is the man who wrote Journey to the West. I think that man is pretty good, why don’t you talk about it (⊙o⊙)!”
Yue Lian blinked her cute big eyes and asked in confusion.
Hearing Yue Lian’s words.
Everyone present laughed when they heard this.
I think this fairy boy next to Tianzun is really cute.
This made Yue Lian even more puzzled.
Ten Directions Rescue of Suffering Heavenly Venerable smiled and said, “The man who wrote Journey to the West was originally from heaven. It goes without saying that he will become an immortal, a saint, a Buddha, or a god in the future.”
Yue Lian nodded, not quite understanding.
“Okay, I understand everyone’s opinions. This girl is pretty good. Although it’s hard to meet her in the Middle Earth and it’s hard to find the righteous way, she has a lot of blessings and will definitely become an immortal in the future.”
“As for this world, there should be a Taoist scripture passed down. People in later generations can learn from it, comprehend it, and become immortals and attain the Tao!”
The words of the Heavenly Venerable are followed by the law.
[Taiyi Jiuku] The fruit of Tao produces infinite light, illuminating this world.
All the immortals and saints were delighted and said in unison: “Good!”
Xie Lian, the little girl who loved to read fairy tales and strange stories, eventually finished reading Journey to the West with satisfaction after her family fell into poverty and went through hardships.
As for what happened afterwards, she heard the title of “Ten Directions Savior of Suffering Heavenly Venerable” in the dark, chanted it from time to time, and finally ascended to the Qinghua Changle Realm, Dongji Miaoyan Palace in broad daylight and became a disciple of the Heavenly Venerable.
The Heavenly Venerable taught her the “Dongxuan Lingbao Zhutian World Creation Sutra”, which she practiced with her body and mind, and she attained the status of a god.
However, if one does not understand the principle of “true emptiness and wonderful existence”, one cannot achieve the status of a celestial immortal, and therefore, one cannot become a celestial immortal.
“Look at the four worlds, there is no secret. If you are born as if it were a flash of lightning, then you are not cultivating the field of merit.
In the dark hell, there are countless eons of kalpas. The laws of heaven are unforgiving, so what can I appeal to? “
On this day, Xie Lian sat cross-legged in his own Taoist temple, silently reciting scriptures. His whole body was radiant with light, and endless Taoist rhythms flowed around him. Layers of divine rings lingered around him, evolving endless great principles of the Tao.
Thoughts are continuous, and the body and mind are maintained.
Xie Lian entered a state of darkness, silence, and eternal tranquility.
In a trance, she realized something.
Slowly opened his eyes.
He showed a look of realization.
“My ties to the secular world have not been severed. In the past, present, and future, I have achieved immortality. Although I am now an immortal, I am still not perfect.”
“In that case, I will lend a helping hand to my past self~”
Said.
Xie Lian stretched out his jade hand and blew a breath of fairy air into his palm.
The purple air formed an ancient bronze tripod.
“Edict!”
–
The golden spirit has a wonderful appearance, and the jade beauty is naturally connected. Riding on the bright and round scene, the ten directions have golden faces. At the top of the sky, all the ways are the same.
The ancient bronze tripod exudes infinite divine light.
The moment is eternity.
The bronze tripod turned into a golden light and disappeared without a trace. No one knew where it went.
There may be extra chapters to fill in the gaps later, but there will be no daily updates. Let me take a break. I’m sorry, guys. I’m sorry for this book.
