One man’s Chaldea

He charged into the battle formation normally, without causing much splash, and stabbed the enemy who blocked his way to death as if nothing had happened. Soon Lin Qi saw two people exchanging fire in a large open space on the other side of the battle formation.

Lin Qi seized the opportunity and used both of his special abilities. While accelerating, he even used the second special ability to create the effect of blocking his breath.

With a rustling sound, Lin Qi rushed out like a big black rat, with the tip of the flag in his hand pointing forward.

The speed was so fast and the strategy so shady that the tip of the flag’s spear almost touched Caligula’s chest before he could react.

Of course, this was also because Caligula focused most of his attention on Nero.

“Pfft!”

The flag penetrated the flesh, and the perfect blow even made Lin Qihuan hear the sound of something breaking.

Because he was aiming at Caligula’s heart, which was also the spiritual core of a Servant.

Theoretically, this shot would be a fatal injury.

But it seemed that Lin Qi was happy too early and underestimated the tenacious vitality of a berserker.

With the momentum of the running start, the flag actually penetrated Caligula’s body and carried it for hundreds of meters.

But Caligula reacted quickly, grabbed the flagpole on his chest, and used his own powerful muscle strength to stop the retreat.

Two deep “brake marks” were plowed out under my feet.

Caligula had blood flowing from the corner of his mouth. After an angry roar, he ignored the foreign object in his chest and wanted to rush over along the flagpole and tear Lin Qi into pieces.

Get out of the way!

Lin Qi was shocked and quickly activated his special ability.

The power in his hand lightened, and the two figures crossed, but Caligula did not touch anything.

Lin Qi appeared behind Caligula safely.

【Regroup】!

“call……”

Lin Qi took advantage of the situation and re-assumed his stance, adjusting his state.

“Despicable…interrupter…!”

Caligula angrily looked at Lin Qi, the bad guy who disturbed him and his niece’s reunion. Without thinking, he jumped up with both feet, clasped his fists, and smashed down at Lin Qi.

With Caligula’s powerful panel, Lin Qi had no doubt that the other party could smash him into a meat patty with this one punch.

Throwing down two black keys on the spot, Lin Qi activated his first special ability and quickly left the spot.

explosion!

The falling Caligula smashed a big hole in the ground, and the black key engraved with runes also exploded under Lin Qi’s control.

I thought this move could delay the opponent’s offensive, but I never expected that this guy didn’t even stop, and rushed out from the flames and dust in the next second.

There were still bloody marks on his body from the flying black key fragments, and many of the fragments were even embedded in his flesh.

Caligula caught up with Lin Qi with a burst of energy and smashed down with his fist as hard as steel.

Lin Qi had no choice but to use a flagpole to block in front.

Clang!

The flag was shaking, and Lin Qi’s hands suddenly felt numb, and he almost dropped his only weapon.

“No, are all Servants this strong?”

Lin Qi caught a glimpse of the wound on the opponent’s chest at the moment of the fight, and it was indeed a fatal wound.

But why does this guy seem to be more energetic?

Are you actually letting Nero win when you fight him, but you don’t plan to let him win when you fight me?

……

The author doesn’t know much about Type-Moon, except that he has watched the anime series of Kara no Kyoukai and Fate, and has played FGO for more than four years. (And I’m a skipper – mainly because I got into it late, played many games at the same time, and didn’t have much time to read so much text…)

I wrote this book while looking up information, so some of the settings will definitely not be very accurate. When I was writing, I basically just followed the plot of fgo.

So everyone is welcome to discuss, especially the boss in the later part. After reading it, the author will reasonably integrate it into the later plot based on his own understanding.

Well, I don’t have an outline. When writing a novel, I just do whatever I want and the plot is all in my mind.

As for how to write a tragic protagonist, let’s brainstorm. My first two books were all about invincibility, so I’m not good at this.

Just write down what you think in the book review.

Chapter 16: Bloody Battlefield

Lin Qi’s fighting skills are relatively weak. After all, before traveling through time, Lin Qi was just an ordinary student and had barely fought a few times.

It has only been a few months since he came to Chaldea. Even with the combat room for simulated battles, Lin Qi’s progress in understanding swordsmanship, spearmanship, etc. is quite slow.

Didn’t you see that when Lin Qi used Siegfried’s power to fight, he mainly relied on the treasure and its own outstanding performance to crush the enemy?

If fighting with heroes who are better at close combat, Lin Qi will undoubtedly be at a disadvantage.

Unable to distance himself and use Rune magic, Lin Qi could only defend himself against Caligula’s relentless pursuit, and had to use his special abilities from time to time.

You have to know that Lin Qi’s special ability consumes a lot of energy. He can fight with anyone, but the most feared thing is to get stuck in a war of attrition.

However, the other party’s situation is not much better now…

Lin Qi, who had difficulty even regrouping, could only drag his slightly tired body and dizzy head, struggling to hold on under Caligula’s hands.

If no one comes to help, Lin Qi can only pray that the other party falls before him.

“Hey! My reinforcements! I’m here to help you!”

Nero rushed over and slashed at Caligula with a sword, finally breaking Lin Qi away from the tense battle.

“My…my sister’s daughter…Nero ahhhh——”

Caligula paused in his attack, shouting the same words for the nth time.

Nero seemed to be somewhat immune to his words and simply ignored them.

Then, while watching the other person’s movements, he started chatting with Lin Qi.

“You are very brave. Your appearance has relieved my urgent need. But your fighting skills are a bit unsightly. You need to hone them more if you have time!”

Nero commented on Lin Qi’s battle just now.

Although Caligula’s mind was not clear, his body’s combat memory was not lost too much. He actually seized Lin Qi’s weakness in close combat and did not give Lin Qi the opportunity to distance himself.

This prompted Lin Qi to use his abilities repeatedly.

“…That would take time, and I’m afraid I don’t have the talent for it.”

Lin Qi shook his head, which was a little dizzy from using his abilities so many times in a row, and responded to Nero helplessly.

“No talent? Well… this is indeed a flaw.”

Nero was a little distressed and took a quick look at Lin Qi.

“By the way, you should be a magician, right? I think your outfit is somewhat similar to those magicians.”

Is this true? You can tell that I’m wearing a Chaldean uniform?

In response to this, Nero could only say that in her impression, magicians all dressed strangely.

“That’s not wrong…”

Lin Qi didn’t delve into it further.

If one can only use basic magic such as rune magic and strengthening, and even has no knowledge of formal magic, he can still be considered a magician.

“That’s no problem! You just support from behind and I will handle the front. You just need to enjoy watching my heroic figure!”

Nero said confidently.

This cheap uncle has been seriously injured. He couldn’t beat the opponent before, so could he still be unable to beat the opponent now?

Nero really didn’t believe this!

Caligula was itching to do it, and kept shouting Nero’s name, pouncing on Nero like a hungry wolf.

Seeing this, Nero quickly swung his sword to block.

The gap between Lin Qi and Nero can be seen here. Even though Nero’s strength seems to be not as good as Lin Qi’s, with his excellent fighting techniques and force-releasing skills, even though it is difficult for him to fight back, he is not as embarrassed as Lin Qi.

However, Lin Qi also knew his position. Now that he was back in his comfort zone, it would be a shame not to make good use of Rune magic.

He drew a talisman out of thin air, and within a few seconds, the enhanced light was accurately attached to Nero.

“This is… Hmm! You’re quite capable! Once you’ve dealt with this mess, I’ll make you the chief court magician when we return to Rome!”

Feeling that he had suddenly become much stronger, Nero gained more confidence and decided to give Lin Qi an official position.

“Uh, forget it…”

With our level, it’s better not to lower the average level of court magicians.

“Don’t be modest. If I tell you that you have the ability, then you have it!”

A classic tactic, with the warrior holding the enemy in the front and the mage providing long-range support and buffs in the back. Although old-fashioned, it is indeed useful.

After just a few rounds, Caligula, who was already at a disadvantage, began to retreat and prepared to escape by transforming into a spirit.

“This guy wants to escape! Hurry up and stop him!”

Nero keenly sensed his uncle’s intention and became anxious. He rushed forward without thinking and tried to stop him.

You’ve caused me so much trouble and you still want to run away? Even if you’re my uncle, you can’t do that!

Unfortunately, although Nero has been strengthened, he is still a living human after all, and it is unknown how to counter the spiritualization.

They could only watch as Caligula’s figure gradually faded away.

However, Lin Qi had already prepared for this escape, and he finally found the right moment to release the magic trick he had been holding on to.

suppress!

The sudden increase in gravity acted upon Caligula, interrupting his process of becoming a spirit.

The figure reappeared on the battlefield.

Although the effect and duration are not particularly good, this slight pause is enough for Nero to do something.

“Ha! Let me fall down!”

Nero’s eyes lit up as he stepped forward. The strange blade of his sword slashed heavily from Caligula’s left shoulder to the right side of his abdomen, leaving a bloody sword mark.

After the battle, Caligula suffered countless injuries, especially the penetrating wound at the beginning, and now Nero’s ruthless sword.

I could only kneel on one knee helplessly.

“Now even if my uncle is very energetic, he can’t escape anymore, right?”

Seeing that Caligula had lost his fighting ability, Nero nodded with satisfaction.

“My court magician! Hurry up and get me a strong rope to tie up this uncle who crawled out of the ground! I want to ask them where they came from!”

Nero still felt that it was not safe enough, so he began to give orders to Lin Qi next to him.

There were so many things to complain about that Lin Qi didn’t know where to start.

“…My Emperor, isn’t your thinking a little too radical? Where can I find a rope for you?”

I had to pick a more realistic one.

“Emm… that’s true! I think I used too much force. Even if I tie him up, it’s unknown how long my uncle can last…”

As he thought about it, Nero actually became distressed.

“…”

If this wasn’t a battlefield, Lin Qi would really want to complain about it.

“Hmm? What is this strange light?”

Nero, who was thinking about whether to ignore this side and rush to rescue his army, suddenly found that a strange light appeared on his uncle’s body.

It was a light like the cool moonlight.

“It’s a treasure!”
