Iron Snow Clouds
Chapter 5564 Snoring
Chapter 5564 (Five Thousand Five Hundred and Sixty Four) Snoring
The Brown-Handed Man said, “So we must not do that.”
The Gray Hand said, “Forget it then.”
“Listen!” said the man with brown hands.
“What?” asked the Gray Hand Man.
“I heard snoring. Did you hear it?” asked the Brown-Handed Man.
“Snoring?” said the Gray Hand Man. “I didn’t notice it just now, but after hearing what you said, I think I heard snoring.”
“Where did it come from?” asked the brown-handed man.
“I can’t seem to tell where the snoring is coming from,” said the Gray Hand Man.
“Can’t you hear it?” said the brown-handed man. “I thought I was the only one who was restricted.”
“I can’t hear it either.” Gray Hand Man replied, “Is it you and I who are restricted, or is there some other reason?”
“What other reasons do you want to mention?” asked the Brown Hand Man.
“It’s not because you and I are limited that we can’t hear where the snoring is coming from, but even if it’s not you and me, no one else would be able to hear it.” said the man with gray hands.
“You mean, the sound itself can’t be identified?” said the Brown-Handed Man.
“Yes.” The Gray Hand said, “Of course, I just said it’s possible.”
The Brown-Handed Man said, “But you and I are not ordinary people.”
The Gray Hand Man said, “After we spit those two out, are we becoming more and more like ordinary people?”
The brown-handed man said, “Perhaps. But does highlighting those two really mean permanently losing certain important abilities?”
The Gray Hand said, “I don’t know either. Does losing some important abilities also mean gaining something?”
The brown-handed man said, “That should be the case. Gains and losses always go hand in hand.”
Gray Hand Man said: “If the ability you lose is too important, do you think you will regret it in the future?”
“Regret?” asked the brown-handed man, “Do you regret spitting out those two just now?” “Yes, that’s what I’m asking, right?” asked the gray-handed man.
“Can you?” the Brown-Handed Man asked the Gray-Handed Man.
“Ask me the same question I just asked you.” The Gray Hand said.
The Brown-Handed Man said, “Yes, I want to hear your answer.”
“Actually, you already know the answer, right?” the Gray Hand Man asked again.
The Brown-Handed Man said, “I feel like you won’t regret it.”
The Gray Hand said, “I told you that you already knew the answer.”
“It is true.” said the man with brown hands.
“Don’t you think so?” the Gray Hand Man asked again.
“I think so.” The brown-handed man said, “If you didn’t spit it out just now, what else would have happened? If there was another way out, or if I could think of another way, I certainly wouldn’t have done it.”
The Gray Hand Man said, “The choice I made just now was forced to the edge of a cliff.”
“Cliff?” The man with brown hands seemed to remember something.
The Gray Hand Man asked, “I was just speaking metaphorically.”
“I know you’re speaking metaphorically, but I was thinking of a real cliff,” said the Brown-Handed Man.
“Why did you think of the cliff?” said the man with gray hands.
“You didn’t expect it this time?” asked the man with brown hands.
“No.” The Gray Hand said, “I’m only thinking about this matter at hand, whether I regret it or not. Although I know very well that neither you nor I will regret it, I’m still thinking about it.”
“Are you dwelling on what happened?” the Brown-Handed Man asked.
“Not really,” said the Gray Hand Man, “because I also thought about the future. Thinking about whether I’ll regret it in the future is also thinking about the future.”
