Honghuang: Senior Brother of the Chan Sect, I am Guangchengzi

Chapter 175: Hongyun’s death is no longer escapable

Chapter 175: Hongyun’s death is no longer escapable

Guangchengzi was naturally delighted that the trip returned with a full load, but when he saw the Western Religious Immortals wanted to leave, he immediately stopped one of them.

“Brother Ksitigarbha, if you have nothing to do recently, why not come with me to Kunlun Mountain for a gathering. I have many insights in my heart recently, and I want to talk to you about them. They are all about the wonderful principles of reincarnation.”

Guangchengzi shouted.

Upon hearing this, Ksitigarbha immediately said to the many fellow disciples around him: “Everyone, don’t wait for me. I will go to Kunlun Mountain for a while and return to the Western Paradise in the future.”

Because of Dizang’s own character, he is deeply valued by Zhunti, and his status is no less than that of Maitreya, the second senior brother. Naturally, they would not mind, so after saying a few words, he stepped on the cloud and left.

Guangchengzi brought Ksitigarbha here, not because he wanted to deceive Ksitigarbha on purpose. He had indeed realized many wonderful principles of reincarnation recently and wanted to talk to Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva about them.

The reason why Ksitigarbha is so valued by Zhunti is that he has a compassionate heart, a fearless heart, and a selfless heart, which is very consistent with the Western Dharma and the realm of Samyaksambodhi. Otherwise, as a saint, Zhunti would not accept just any Tom, Dick, or Harry.

Ksitigarbha’s compassion, fearlessness and self-sacrifice are all based on his pity for the wronged souls. He cannot bear to see them turn into nothingness, so he finally takes Zhunti’s path of nirvana as his root and extends straight to the path of reincarnation, hoping that these wronged souls can find their home.

There is an incredible fate between the two. Just like Guangchengzi’s practice of Yin and Yang, Dizang’s practice of Samsara is also progressing by leaps and bounds. It has only been a hundred thousand years of practice, but he is already close to the Daluo Dao Fruit. He only needs an opportunity to break through immediately.

It’s a pity that the reincarnation of the ancient times is now directly controlled by the Heavenly Dao. Anyone who wants to be reborn must either master some kind of reincarnation method or have a great being like Hunyuan who is willing to spend his magic power to open the reincarnation channel.

Otherwise, after death, the true spirit will be taken away by the Heavenly Dao, combined with other dead true spirits, and finally create a new soul.

It is precisely because the great cycle of reincarnation is directly controlled by the Heavenly Dao that there is a layer of Heavenly Dao power covering the avenue of reincarnation.

Any cultivator who tries to comprehend the great path of reincarnation will feel it is hazy, like seeing flowers in the fog. It is very easy to make mistakes, so he can only experience it with great caution.

That is why Dizang’s cultivation has remained at this level until now, otherwise he would not be inferior to Kong Xuan in the slightest.

Seeing so many outstanding monks appear, Guangchengzi also feels that the future should be very grand and exciting. Each sect will have its own new pillars and successors.

And when the Golden Crow Prince and Jade Rabbit Princess are born in Heaven, the prehistoric world will become even more lively.

Just as Dizang and the other immortals of the Chan sect were heading to Kunlun, Hongyun, who had been forgotten by the gods of the ancient times, finally left Wuzhuang Temple and headed for his own Huoyun Cave.

At the beginning, Daozu Hongjun distributed seven hongmeng purple auras, six of which were controlled by Hongjun’s disciples, and finally all of them became saints, which made the gods feel depressed, so they involuntarily forgot about the master of the seventh hongmeng purple aura.

However, although these great gods could forget Hong Yun, there was one great god whom he would never forget even after his death, and that was the demon master Kunpeng from heaven.

Ever since the third sermon, Hong Yun has been held captive in Wuzhuang Temple by Zhen Yuanzi. During this period, naturally, some great gods coveted him, but they were all restricted by the extremely powerful protective power of the Book of Earth and had to give up.

However, after the establishment of Xuanmen, these great gods thought that Hongyun was the same as those saints, so they retreated one after another and dared not stay outside Wanshou Mountain any longer.

It was for this reason that Hong Yun wanted to leave Wanshou Mountain and travel around. He was made of clouds and naturally couldn’t stand being trapped in one place, so he wanted to drift with the wind.

But unlike Hong Yun’s naivety, Zhen Yuanzi knew how crazy those great gods were in their pursuit of enlightenment. In fact, if Hong Yun was not Zhen Yuanzi’s best friend, he might have been the first one to take action.

Therefore, Zhen Yuanzi kept Hong Yun on Wanshou Mountain and did not let him go out.

Until the army of liches joined forces to destroy the fairy court, Hong Yun could no longer bear it. Taking advantage of Zhen Yuanzi’s retreat, he immediately slipped away quietly and wandered aimlessly in the prehistoric world. When he saw anything improper, he would immediately step forward to stop it, completely acting like a good guy.

But even if you want to do good things, you have to see if you have enough ability. Stopping the killing is good, but your means are not big enough. If you stop it randomly, the biggest possibility is that others will kill you who are causing trouble.

It’s a pity that Hongyun didn’t understand this truth and still tried his best to stop the killing.

Hong Yun’s journey was not ordinary, because as the Immortal Court was destroyed by the army of liches, the entire prehistoric world began to be shrouded in a faint aura of evil, and a bloody aura permeated everywhere, mixed with the spiritual energy, and quietly blended into the bodies of cultivators from all sides.

After suddenly absorbing the bloody air, most of the monks, except for some special monks, felt irritated and found it difficult to concentrate.

Apart from the immortal gods guarding the blessed land, these cultivators were all lured by the evil spirit and unconsciously went out to show off, causing trouble and creating cause and effect.

In the end, he died under the law of nature, and his life was destroyed in desolation. Only a wisp of resentment remained, which condensed with the evil spirit and lured more monks to come out to face the calamity.

Although these evil and resentful energies are unable to affect the emotions of those great gods, if they continue to accumulate, even the God of Hunyuan will be unable to resist them, and the blessed land will be invaded. Except for the saints’ dojo, there will be no pure land in the prehistoric world.

This kind of omen was not the first time in the prehistoric world. For example, when the beast calamity and the dragon and phoenix calamity began, there was almost always a resentful aura. The prehistoric world no longer tried to resolve it, but allowed the evil aura to spread. It was obvious that it was going to start a reckoning and eliminate all the incompetent people.

Therefore, some great gods of Hunyuan and Daluo Jinxian, seeing that the situation was not good, immediately hid in the chaos, trying to escape this catastrophe. However, as long as they had karma on their bodies, they could hardly escape the reckoning of the catastrophe.

Either you settle the cause and effect in advance, or you endure this catastrophe. Otherwise, if the cause and effect remain with you, you will inevitably go astray and return everything you have to the primitive world, and you will not be able to escape at all.

As for the protagonist of the calamity, he will naturally be the first to be entangled by the calamity. However, the way of heaven is fair. If the protagonist of the calamity can survive this, not only will all his past be wiped out, but he will also receive blessings in the future.

Just like the great immortal ancestors who survived the calamity of ferocious beasts, they either became the leader of all beasts or directly attained enlightenment. It can be seen how great this blessing is.

It’s a pity that only a few of them can cross over, not including those who are suppressed like Zulong, Yuanfeng and Shi Qilin.

Ever since Kunpeng became a demon master, he knew that he could not escape this calamity, and he was also well aware that it would be difficult for him to survive, so he tried every means to deepen his foundation, and among them he targeted Hongyun.

Is there any foundation that is more profound than the Hongmeng purple energy?
So after seeing Hong Yun leaving Wuzhuang Temple, Kunpeng immediately summoned the twenty-four heavenly guardians, quietly left the Heavenly Palace, set up a formation in a place, and waited for Hong Yun to fall into his trap.

Hong Yun would naturally not be so stupid, but at this time the secrets of the world had been obscured by the evil spirit and could not be easily seen through. He could not even act on impulse, and he did not have the sharpness of a cicada that senses autumn before the wind blows.

So, without intending to do so, he was naturally lured into a certain place.

As he took this step, the originally clear sky suddenly changed color, and the surrounding exotic flowers and plants all disappeared. Only gusts of cold and icy wind blew everywhere, with endless clouds of sorrow, sad winds howling, and misery rising to the sky.

Auroras of various colors rose up in all directions, quickly illuminating the sky with a brilliant look, as if one was currently in the North Sea Fairyland, and not at all in any vicious formation.

And in this magnificent scene, countless magnetic forces that consume the soul continued to condense, and bursts of magic thunder erupted from the two poles, waiting to shatter the soul of the person below.

The bones and marrow are worn away and the body is cold, and sadness and sorrow appear in the brows.

There is no laughter or words, only murderous intent lurking in the dark.

Without waiting for Hong Yun to take out the treasure for protection, Kunpeng, who was hiding in the dark, let out a shrill cry. As the cry spread, the twenty-four heavenly guardians immediately waved the divine flags in their hands.

All he saw were countless auroras and waves of sound, like devil’s voice piercing his ears, piercing his soul, shaking in all directions, and directly causing serious injuries to Hong Yun’s soul.

If he had not taken out the Jiujiu Sanpo Gourd to protect his body in time, this one blow would have been enough to kill him.

Hong Yun shouted, “Who is it? How dare you sneak attack me, but don’t dare to come out and see me?”

Kunpeng had no idea how long he had been preparing for this ambush, and he was even more afraid that outsiders would discover and disrupt the situation. He wanted to end the battle quickly, so he naturally didn’t waste too much time talking to Hongyun. He just grinned and launched the formation again.

As the twenty-four heavenly guardians took action one after another, countless demonic thunders fell from the sky, directly shaking Hong Yun’s head and making him dizzy and dazed. Those countless auroras were truly terrifying, and each one was aimed at killing his soul without any mercy, obviously wanting to put him to death.

Seeing this, Hong Yun knew that he could not hesitate, and he immediately made hand gestures and chanted a magic spell towards the gourd in the sky. The gourd was immediately uncorked, and countless fiery red smokes, carrying evil spirits from all directions, turned into dense clouds and mist that spread all around.

And in this fiery red cloud, there are fine red sands one after another, which are constantly vibrating. As the vibration continues, a force that goes straight to the soul suddenly breaks through these aurora magic thunders.

Thousands of auroras were covered by these clouds and were immediately shattered by the countless red sands. The evil spirits began to pollute the formation, trying to break it so that its owner could escape.

Kunpeng didn’t expect that Hongyun actually had such a treasure on him. He was not paying attention for a moment and was actually taken away by Hongyun.

A blurry passage was opened up by the red sand and mist, and one could see bits and pieces of the outside world in between.

Hongyun was overjoyed when he saw this, and immediately turned into a stream of red gas and rushed towards the passage.

The speed of this red gas is not inferior to the supreme escape techniques such as the Golden Crow Transforming into a Rainbow and the Emperor Jiang Spreading His Wings.

Clouds are extremely good at flying, and Hongyun, as the ancestor of all clouds in the world, is naturally an expert in flying. In fact, Hongyun is confident that he can rank among the top ten in the art of flying.

Just as he was about to enter the passage, a giant beast that looked like both a fish and a bird suddenly appeared. Its speed was no less than Hong Yun, and it actually pushed him back into the formation.

Being blocked by this, the passage began to disappear. Hong Yun could only watch in despair as his vitality dissipated. Then he looked at the giant beast in front of him and gritted his teeth, “Kunpeng, why did you do this!”
