Chapter 133 The Legend Returns

Terrified, Kirigakure Raizo staggered backward, hissing, "Shoot! Shoot him dead! Dead or alive, dead or alive!"

The dozen or so musketeers were already pale with fright, their fingers trembling like leaves. But military orders are orders, and they still raised their muskets, aimed at the boy who was reaping lives in the crowd, and fired in three shifts.

"Bang! Bang! Bang!"

Gunfire erupted, and smoke filled the air. The first wave of men had all pulled their triggers, firing several lead bullets simultaneously.

Having been reminded by Sarutobi Sun Moon, Shi Potian didn't turn his head despite the strange noise. He simply drew his Japanese sword, activated the Silver Saddle Illuminating White Horse Divine Skill, and a strange power surged from the blade.

The lead bullets flying towards him seemed to be manipulated by an invisible hand, drawing a strange arc in the air—"plop plop plop"—a series of muffled sounds, and all the lead bullets hit the Japanese pirates who rushed up to him from the side!

Several Japanese pirates screamed and fell to the ground, gushing blood.

Wu Yin Yue Cang was shocked. How could such a martial art exist in the world? Could it be a sorcery?

"Baka!" Kirigakure Raizo roared in terror, "Second squad! Keep firing! Kill him!"

The second squad of musketeers was about to fire again when Shi Potian flashed and appeared in front of them. Blades flashed like bolts of lightning through the ranks, the screams and the thud of rifle butts hitting the ground mingling together as he swung them left and right.

Within two breaths, none of the dozen or so musketeers were still standing; they all collapsed to the ground.

Shi Potian walked out from among the corpses of the musketeers, not understanding what the muskets were for. They were so loud, yet their power was so meager.

The Japanese pirates around Shi Potian no longer dared to advance, and the encirclement grew larger and larger. Even Sarutobi Higetsu was no longer being attacked.

Shi Potian, holding his sword, looked up at the Wuyin Raizou siblings.

Kirigakure Raizo swallowed hard.

"You...you..." He pointed at Shi Potian, his finger trembling like a leaf, "Are you a human...or a ghost?!"

Sarutobi Hiyori walked up from behind, blood still flowing from the wound on his left arm, yet he smiled. He walked to Shi Potian's side, stood respectfully to the side, then raised his head, looking at Kirigakure Raizo and Kirigakure Gekizo, and slowly spoke:

"Now, do you know who my lord is?"

Wuyin Raizou's pupils contracted sharply. He stared at the knife in Shi Potian's hand, at that unbelievably young face, recalling the ghostly, swift, and eerie swordsmanship from just now.

"Isn't he the young head镖师 (bodyguard/escort) of the Fuwei镖局 (escort agency)? I knew that all along." Wuyin Yuecang looked puzzled.

"Could it be...could it be..." Kirigakure Raizo cried out in disbelief.

"No wonder, no wonder you were willing to serve as our lord. I was wondering why his swordsmanship was so fast. It wasn't swordsmanship, it was swordsmanship."

Raizo Kirigakure finally remembered that terrible legend.

Sarutobi Hiugetsu laughed heartily, "Now you know? It's too late. I'll return to Japan sooner or later and settle accounts with your Kirigakure clan!"

Kirigakure Raizo and Kirigakure Gekko exchanged a glance, both seeing deep fear in each other's eyes. Those legends were true after all. This boy is already this powerful; what will he be like in the future? He'll definitely be a major threat to Japan.

"Attack!" Kirigakure Raizo roared hoarsely, his voice echoing throughout the entire camp. "Everyone! Attack! Kill them! Whoever kills that boy will receive a reward of one thousand taels of silver!"

A great reward will surely attract brave men. Although the surrounding Japanese pirates were terrified by Shi Potian's killing spree, the temptation of a thousand taels of gold was too great. They surged in from all directions, their battle cries shaking the heavens.

The entire camp of Japanese pirates charged in, numbering at least a thousand, a dark mass that completely surrounded Shi Potian and Sarutobi Riyue.

Taking advantage of the chaos, Kirigakure Raizo and Kirigakure Geszo turned and fled, disappearing in the blink of an eye. The elite members of the Kirigakure clan also retreated, vanishing into the darkness in an instant.

Shi Potian slashed several Japanese pirates to death and was about to give chase when he suddenly heard Sarutobi Hiyori groan. Turning around, he saw that Sarutobi Hiyori had been hit by a hidden arrow in his left leg. Shi Potian frowned, turned back to Sarutobi Hiyori's side, and killed three Japanese pirates who rushed at him with a single stroke.

He knew that if he went after Kirigakure Raizo, Sarutobi Hijiki would surely die.

"My lord, don't worry about me!" Sarutobi Higetsu said urgently.

Shi Potian shook his head and remained silent. He grabbed Sarutobi Riyue by the collar and lifted him up.

At this moment, the Japanese pirates had surrounded them. Sarutobi Higetsu took a deep breath and shouted loudly in Japanese:

"Listen up! That Hattori Sengun from before was an imposter! He was Kirigakure Raizo, an enemy of your Hattori family! He killed the real Hattori Sengun and is impersonating him to trick you into dying!"

The Japanese pirates were stunned for a moment, then exchanged bewildered glances. One of them shouted, "Bullshit! General Hattori is right behind us, stop talking nonsense!"

"That's right! You're a traitorous Japanese who's sided with the Tang people, and you think you can fool us?"

These Japanese pirates who had just attacked hadn't seen Kirigakure Raizo's dwarf form, so they refused to believe it.

Sarutobi Higetsu was about to shout again when Shi Potian whispered, "Stop talking. They won't believe you."

He used the Tai Xuan Scripture to sense his surroundings and search for the whereabouts of Wu Yin Lei Cang. Suddenly, he sensed a familiar aura. Looking up, he saw a figure sneaking into a tent in the distance.

Although the man had changed his clothes, Shi Potian recognized him at a glance—Hattori Shichiro.

Shi Potian's heart skipped a beat. Hattori Shichiro was Hattori Senjun's younger brother. Why wasn't he fleeing for his life? Instead, he was sneaking into a tent. What was he up to?

"Go!" Shi Potian grabbed Yuan Fei Riyue and dashed toward the tent in a flash.

When the Japanese pirates saw that Shi Potian wasn't chasing after Wuyin Leizang, but instead running deeper into the camp in another direction, their offensive immediately slowed down. They were already terrified; gold was valuable, but they needed to be alive to enjoy it.

They were happy to make way. A few daring ones tried to give chase, but Shi Potian slashed them both with a backhand strike, killing them both. The rest of them dared not go any further.

Shi Potian, carrying Yuan Fei Riyue, arrived at the tent in a few leaps and stepped inside.

Inside the tent, an oil lamp burned, casting a dim yellow light. A burly man sat in a chair, his face haggard, but his gaze still sharp.

The man looked exactly like the two clones who had just exploded, and also exactly like the one that Kirigakure Raizo was impersonating—another Hattori Sengun!

Standing beside him was Hattori Shichiro, who held a short sword in his hand, the tip of which was pointed directly at the man's throat.

Hattori Shichiro trembled all over, his face filled with a mixture of hatred and fear: "Brother, don't blame me... Kirigakure Raizo said that if I killed you, he would make me the head of the Hattori family... I was forced into it..."

Hattori Sengun sat motionless in the chair. He had clearly been acupunctured and was unable to resist, his eyes filled with rage.

His eyes lit up when he saw Shi Potian and Sarutobi Hiyori suddenly enter.

Hattori Shichiro sensed something was wrong, turned around, and saw Shi Potian. His expression changed drastically, and he almost dropped the sword in his hand: "You... how did you get here?"

Shi Potian looked at Hattori Shichiro and said calmly, "Is this really Hattori Sengun? You want to kill your elder brother?"

He had assumed that Raizo Kirigakure had laid a trap, and that the boy was doomed. But Raizo and his sister escaped. He was also preparing to flee. Seeing that Shi Potian was being surrounded and killed by so many people, he decided to kill his older brother first before running away.

Unexpectedly, Shi Potian arrived in front of him in the blink of an eye. He couldn't understand how he had been found. Weren't those people surrounding and attacking Shi Potian? Even if it were a thousand pigs, it would take several days to kill them.

Hattori Sengun saw Sarutobi Higetsu staring intently at him, his eyes filled with complex emotions.

Sarutobi Hiugetsu stepped out from behind Ishiba Ten, looked at Hattori Shichiro, and sneered:

"Hattori Shichiro, you really are a piece of trash. Your elder brother was imprisoned, and instead of rescuing him, you tried to kill him. Have you already sided with Kirigakure Raizo?"

Hattori Shichiro's face turned deathly pale, his hand went limp, and the short sword clattered to the ground. He fell to his knees with a thud, kowtowing repeatedly to Shi Potian:

"Brother Sarutobi, spare me! Young hero, spare me! I was forced into this! Kirigakure Raizo said he would castrate me if I didn't obey him..."

Shi Potian ignored him, walked up to Hattori Sengun, and released his pressure points. Although the Japanese pirates' pressure point techniques were strange, they were no secret in the face of the Tai Xuan Scripture.

Hattori Sengun, panting heavily, looked up at Shi Potian and asked in a hoarse voice, "You...who are you?"

Sarutobi Higetsu said, "Hattori Sengun, please be polite. This is my lord."
