Chapter 115 Breakthrough, Tribulation Transcending, Leave it to me!

There was no way to continue the discussion.

Although Buddha tried his best to use his voice to cover up the commotion caused by Su Bai, he was indeed a bit too ruthless.

Although the dragons on the dragon pillar had turned into stone, they were actually real living creatures.

He held back one, but Shi Long managed to keep it to himself.

But once you've removed one, you're already thinking about removing a second one—that's unbearable.

An angry dragon roar suddenly resounded throughout the entire sacred mountain.

A hint of helplessness flashed across the Buddha's solemn face.

The next second, the cloud that enveloped the stone pillar vanished instantly, and at that moment, Su Bai had already plucked out another dragon eye.

The stone was clearly trembling with pain because of the lost longan, but as a beam of Buddha's light shone down, the missing longan was instantly restored.

Su Bai quickly stuffed the dragon eye from his paw into the small sword, then jumped onto the back of the Howling Celestial Dog, peered down, and tilted his head, saying, "Meow?"

Yang Jian remained silent and took a step back until he was behind the crowd.

Nezha looked at Su Bai and Xiaotianquan with a blank expression.

He thought he was arrogant enough, but today he felt that he was not even as good as Yang Jian's celestial hound.

where is this?

This is the Great Thunderclap Temple, the sacred site of Buddha on Mount Ling in the Western Paradise.

Who in this world would dare to act recklessly here?

He never thought anyone would dare to do this before, but today he has witnessed it firsthand.

Compared to those two little guys, what he did in Heaven was really nothing.

In the main hall, Buddha looked calmly at Howling Celestial Dog and Su Bai.

A moment later, a voice resounded throughout the hall: "Howling Celestial Dog, a white dog with a slender waist. When Wukong wreaked havoc in the Heavenly Palace, this Howling Celestial Dog played a significant role and is quite famous in the Three Realms."

"This cat..."

At this point, Buddha was at a loss for words.

Just then, Guanyin Bodhisattva suddenly spoke up: "World Honored One, this cat was brought by Erlang Shen. This cat has an extraordinary origin, but we cannot discern anything about it. It must be a disciple of one of my immortals."

The Buddha nodded slightly and said, "It's not strange if you can't tell. When Wukong went on his journey to the West to obtain the scriptures, he encountered a monkey named the Six-Eared Macaque. If that monkey hadn't been afraid, I'm afraid it would still be difficult to tell the difference."

"All things in this world have a spirit, every blade of grass and every tree has a life. All living beings in the Three Realms are recorded. But if they are outside the Three Realms and outside the Five Elements, it may be difficult to find their origins. Let them be."

"The World-Honored One is compassionate."

"Buddha is merciful."

Upon hearing this, Yang Jian couldn't help but let out a deep breath.

But then, Buddha suddenly beckoned to Su Bai, and the next second, Su Bai's body flew directly from the back of the Howling Celestial Dog into his hand.

This made Yang Jian's heart jump again.

……

The Buddha looked at the cat in his hand, his expression remained unchanged, and even when his gaze swept over the sword at the cat's neck, he showed no emotion whatsoever.

Why didn't you listen to the Dharma talk just now?

Su Bai looked up at the enormous body, then used its claws to pry open the hand at its feet.

Its palms were very hard; when I tried to dig with my claws, I almost broke my fingernails.

This isn't a joke, it's a recommendation for the treasure book "The Cat That Hides Beside a Saint":

If you don't understand it, you naturally don't want to listen.

Upon hearing this, a burst of laughter erupted in the hall.

How could anyone not understand the Buddha's teachings, unless this cat is truly dull-witted?

But this smile made Su Bai feel somewhat uncomfortable.

Turning to look at the monks and nuns below the palace, he couldn't help but hunch over, and uttered, "Ha!"

Su Bai's breath was full of force, his sharp teeth and fierce expression, coupled with his small body, immediately drew another round of laughter.

"ha!"

Even so, the laughter continued unabated.

Only when Buddha slightly raised his hand in a gesture did everyone stop.

He raised his head slightly to look at the crowd, shook his head and said, "Although this cat doesn't understand the teachings I'm giving, he is honest enough. In that respect alone, he is comparable to countless believers in the human world."

"Although Mahayana Buddhism had been introduced to the East, no one had ever been able to comprehend its profound mysteries."

"The emperor of the East placed the true scriptures brought back by the Tripitaka into the pagoda, saying that it was for everyone to admire and worship, but why should the scriptures need to be worshipped?"

"The scriptures are meant for people to contemplate and understand, but they end up being collected and gathering dust. As a result, they are neither scriptures nor Buddhas. What a pity."

After saying that, Tathagata looked down at Su Bai again, and after a moment, chuckled and said, "Although this cat's cultivation is a bit lacking, its comprehension is excellent, it's just a bit lazy."

"Since you have come here to listen to the Dharma today, it means that we are destined to meet. Since we are destined, I will lend you a helping hand."

As soon as he finished speaking, Buddha suddenly raised his hand and gently tapped Su Bai's forehead.

The next second, Su Bai felt his mind become clear, and all his distracting thoughts vanished like ashes.

Above the spiritual platform, the drop of Three Lights Divine Water began to emit light, and the entire cat seemed to be reborn, even its fur became more lustrous.

As all the distracting thoughts in his mind dissipated, Su Bai instantly entered a state of enlightenment.

This scene moved even the gods and Buddhas present.

Everyone could see that Buddha hadn't done anything at all; there was no transfer of magical power or any bestowal of supernatural abilities.

He was merely given a moment of peace by having his six senses shut down.

But this brief moment of tranquility allowed the cat to enter a state of enlightenment. With such comprehension, if anyone were to say it was lacking, then even the gods and Buddhas present would feel ashamed.

The Buddha slightly raised his head, looked at the crowd, and scanned the changes in everyone's facial expressions. After a moment, he shook his head and said, "When stillness reaches its extreme, movement arises; from nothingness, something comes."

"Tranquility breeds wisdom, and wisdom breeds intelligence."

"This cat, which had been going back and forth between these two, has now suddenly realized something, which is a great blessing."

"What the World-Honored One said is absolutely right."

……

At this moment, Su Bai was completely immersed in tranquility.

At the same time, in addition to countless Sanskrit chants, another chanting sound appeared in his mind.

"The true and constant way is attained by those who are enlightened; those who attain enlightenment are always pure and tranquil."

As the chanting continued to echo in his mind, the Sanskrit sound gradually faded away.

For a moment, the only words that came to mind were "peace and quiet."

At the same time, a thundercloud gradually gathered above Mount Ling in the Western Paradise.

Above the thunderclouds, the Thunder God and Lightning Goddess had everything prepared, but just then, Wen Zhong's roar suddenly came from afar: "Let me handle this!"
