Ark, they don’t revolve around you

I don’t know how much time has passed, but the world has changed so much and everything is no longer what I imagined.
No matter where I went, there was no one around. My confusion grew, but only one question kept echoing in my mind.
“Why were you born?”
What was she born for?
In order to prevent those terrible things from noticing this earth.
In order to curb the development of civilization.
“Then you haven’t done anything,” the sigh said.
Kal’tsit was stunned, unable to describe the inexplicable absurdity. She knew this voice, but there was a hint of strangeness in it.
“you are?”
“Forgot me? No, you just don’t want to acknowledge me.”
The memories finally came back: the wilderness of Columbia, where countless crystals grew wildly, and then Kal’tsit lost consciousness.
She knew that she had died again at that time. Death was not scary to Kal’tsit. It was just a reincarnation, but this reincarnation was completely different from the previous ones.
“You are… Doctor.”
“Doctor, it’s been a while since anyone called me that.” The voice whispered softly.
“In the end what happened?”
“As you can see, there’s nothing left.”
The voice said, “It has been a long time. There is no civilization anymore. Everything is gone.”
It was clearly a very light tone, but there was a will in that voice that would not allow for change, as if… a god!
Kal’tsit was silent. She was thinking, hesitating, and uneasy. Her lips were trembling and her body was lonely, like a lone bird.
“what does that mean?”
“You know what I mean – I cleansed the surface of Terra.” As if he was telling a trivial matter, his voice was low, “The gods sent down a flood that destroyed the world. In one night, the mountains were submerged. You see, even elementary school students know this myth.”
“The only difference is that when I sent the flood, I did not give the righteous a revelation, no ark to tomorrow.”
“When the wind from the northern plains blew, the land began to freeze. Now, Terra has nothing left, and the star gate leading to the universe has also been sealed by me.”
“Okay, you should understand, Kal’tsit. After I observed this world, you are one of the few people who can talk to me.”
Kal’tsit’s hands and feet were cold. After a moment of confusion, she seemed to understand: “You destroyed this civilization.”
“This is my duty, Kelsey.”
“—”
“Are you unhappy? I thought you hated being a nanny. Your mission is over, you are free, you should be happy.” There was still no figure, only faint whispers rising from the ground.
Joy? I only have fear… Kelsey thought.
“Why do this?”
The voice was silent for a while, a little helpless: “Work needs it?”
“Work required?”
“Yes, it’s just work.” The voice sighed, “Thousands of years have passed, and I have given Terra a chance to make amends, but no one cared. In this case, I have to take the initiative.”
Kal’tsit stopped talking and quickened her pace as she walked across the snowy plain. However, no matter where she went, there was no sign of life. The air was so clear, yet there was no sign of life at all.
Walked for a long, long time.
Until she lost all the temperature, she finally accepted her fate and sat down on the ground, distraught.
“I’ve already told you that there is no life on earth.” The voice was very calm, and Kal’tsit could vaguely see the indifference, “Give up.”
“PhD?”
“what?”
“Kill me.” Kal’tsit said quietly, “If it were you, you should be able to do it, right?”
“You asked me to kill someone as soon as I woke up. You are worthy of me.” The voice smiled, “But I can’t do it.”
“Why?” It was hard to imagine that Kal’tsit, who always acted indifferent, would be so hysterical. “You can do it!”
“I don’t think it’s necessary.”
“But you should still hate me, right?” Kal’tsit roared.
“hatred?”
The voice paused, as if chewing on the words, “I feel like I haven’t felt this way for a long time.”
“I don’t hate anything. I destroyed Terra just because of work, because the Terrans violated a taboo.”
“I don’t mind you anymore. I only chat with you because I witnessed your birth, Kal’tsit.” The voice became cold, “But I have no excuse to kill you.”
“Then I beg you to kill me!”
“We must respect life.”
“But there is no life here anymore!”
“Yes.” The voice said softly, “But, you are here.”
“Loneliness must be very painful, but I really can’t interfere without reason.”
“Kal’tsit, perhaps Terra would not have come to this point, but fate is always unpredictable.”
The voice faded away, as if interest had faded and he didn’t want to talk about it anymore.
No matter how Kal’tsit shouted, she couldn’t hear any response.
Eternal life is not a punishment, but when the punishing mission faded away, endless loneliness came again. Finally, she seemed tired and stopped moving.
Then it has nothing to do with the Doctor, and the observer just watches quietly.
……
……
There are waves rolling on the shore.
An illusory human figure was slowly outlined, condensed, and finally took shape on a black coat.
Returning to this land after a thousand years, Zhuang Ning felt everything was new and new, yet he still felt a little uncomfortable with it.
It’s as if they exist in different dimensions, like flowers without roots.
Zhuang Ning spread his hands and made a hugging gesture. The sea breeze was salty and he made a sound as if he was waiting for something.
The waves rolled, hit the rocks, and broke.
A figure slowly came ashore, his eyes flickering with a hint of nostalgia.
Even though he had occasionally communicated with the girl during these thousand years, he couldn’t help but feel a little nostalgic when he saw that face again.
“Should I call you Skadi or Ishamara?”
Zhuang Ning’s projection whispered, “It’s been a long time since we last met. We only communicate occasionally, but you did a great job.”
“This world-destroying flood is the final funeral for Terra. After this, do you want to come with me, or stay here and lead your fellow tribesmen in the sea?”
There were no words, just a hand slowly placed on Zhuang Ning’s head, making a caressing gesture.
But this is the answer, Zhuang Ning thought. He hasn’t been touched on the head for a long time and was unable to react for a moment.
“Let’s go.”
He looked back for the last time and saw the world was dark.
He lowered his eyes and whispered, “Let there be light.”
Ps: This should be the last extra chapter.
If nothing unexpected happens, I will publish a new book tomorrow.
new book released
As the title says, a new book has been published
This is probably the last time I write about Ark, I hope it goes well.
The following is a brief introduction
“Once upon a time…about a thousand years ago, I was also a big shot!”
“I can’t say it’s a small achievement, I can only say it’s a great reputation!”
“If in the past, the rulers belonged to the royal court that had learned Sarkaz witchcraft and the gods who had innate magical talents, it was me who changed this situation!”
“So I was revered as a master—until I was shot in the knee!”
“Wow.” Amiya looked at the doctor who was talking nonstop in the sarcophagus with a blank expression, “You are so powerful, so why do you need me?”
“Because I want you to help me win the resurrection match!” wailed the doctor with only one head.
