Pokémon’s Lord of Fear

Chapter 315 Nightmare God: I’m on 8am

The reputation of “The Grudge” is actually quite strange. Some people think that “The Grudge” has achieved the most essential point of a horror film.

That’s scary.

Another group of people think that “The Grudge” is just for the sake of horror and has no meaning at all. There is still a lot of controversy on the Internet. However, it is undeniable that as a horror film, “The Grudge” itself is a success. After all, since the IP of “The Grudge” came out, many movies and TV series have been filmed one after another.

Business profits are maximized.

Even in the era when Teng Shu traveled through time, “Ju-Gong” was still being made into a TV series, which symbolizes that there are still some profits to be tapped from this IP. As long as “Ju-Gong” is still scary and impressive, there will be no interruption in the subsequent works of “Ju-Gong”. The only difference is whether Kayako can update her way of killing.

After saying goodbye to Hai Xin, Teng Shu found a hotel to stay in and began to adapt the plot of the first part of his own Ju-Jou.

“After all, this is the world of Pokémon, so why not just replace the black cat with a Pokémon? This way, it can be considered as incorporating Pokémon elements.” Teng Shu sat in the luxurious champion suite, tapping on his laptop thoughtfully. He was currently adapting the plot of The Grudge.

“And Kayako-sensei is immune to attacks from ghost-type Pokémon,” Teng Shu thought as he typed his thoughts on his laptop.

After all, if Kayako is not immune to attacks, then some very humorous things will happen, such as Kayako becoming the Pokémon dreamed of by countless ghost-specialized trainers in the entire league, and then being taken turns to stake out her every day.

When he thought about Kayako getting beaten up and then being put into a Poké Ball, and then during the battle the trainer yelling “It’s decided to be you! Kayako!”, Teng Shu felt as if his eyes went dark.

So in Teng Shu’s setting, ghosts have special protection against Pokémon and are immune to all attacks from Pokémon. As for whether some experts will come out and say that Teng Shu’s filming method is unreasonable?
Of course there are. This happened when we were filming When the Dead Ghost Called, but Teng Shu shut those guys up with a sentence “The worldview of movies is different from reality”, so no one else came to Teng Shu to talk about these things later.

Teng Shu frowned and thought.

The story of the Videotape version of The Grudge actually simply explains why Kayako became a demon, but the timeline is still confusing, and it is divided into several different plots. There are only two classic horror scenes in it.

One is a female ghost with her chin pulled looking back, and the other is a classic among classics, Kayako climbing down the stairs with a distorted face to scare people.

This is one of the few scenes in the movie where Kayako appears directly. In most other scenes, Kayako only appears briefly.

It was not complicated for Teng Shu to adapt the plot. After all, the story of The Grudge was in Teng Shu’s brain, and Teng Shu knew very well how to shoot it. The only trouble was that the black cat had to be changed, so the cry and other things had to be done, and what Pokémon to use to replace the black cat was also a problem.

“Litten?” Teng Shu thought of a Pokémon. This Pokémon looked very cute when it first appeared, and became one of the three starter Pokémon that many people planned to choose. As a result, because of its final evolution, Crimson Tiger, it was given the nickname of Demonic Tiger. This is probably because when Crimson Tiger uses jet fire, it gives people the feeling that the fire is sprayed out of their pants.

However, Litten itself still meets Teng Shu’s requirements. After all, Litten is a very cute Pokémon, and it is more in line with the appearance of the black cat in Ju-Jou. It’s just that Teng Shu is a little embarrassed when it comes to choosing the character.

The plot adaptation of Ju-Jou is not too difficult. Teng Shu has almost finished the adaptation now. Most of the plot does not need to be changed. The only thing that needs to be redesigned is the Pokémon issue. After the adaptation, Teng Shu is very satisfied with the script in his hand. The next thing to do is to find actors.

Someone has already been chosen to play Takeo Saeki, and that is judge Hai Xin. His appearance is simply the natural Takeo Saeki. The candidate for Toshio is also easy to find, after all, there are some child stars in the world of Pokémon. Although this time the role of Toshio is played by a ghost, there must be many child stars willing to let Teng Shu choose.

Only Kayako is the type that Teng Shu finds more troublesome.

Kayako’s appearance is actually not very complicated; what is complicated is Kayako’s movements.

After all, blood makeup is very easy to apply. You don’t even need to hire a professional stylist. The makeup artists in Ghost Pictures can do it. However, in Teng Shu’s mind, it would be best for Kayako to have certain yoga skills as an actor so that she can show the effect that Teng Shu wants.

And for some shots, if the actors have yoga skills, it will be easier to shoot.

“Forget it, just let Zoroark find it. There are a lot of people who want to be actors these days anyway.” Teng Shu shook his head. He originally planned to find a natural Kayako body, but he didn’t find one, so he could only let the company’s people find a way.

Teng Shu felt that he was a little greedy. It was already very good to be able to see the holy body of Takeo Saeki. It would be too difficult to see the holy body of Kayako again.

“However, the original videotape version of The Grudge may be difficult for first-time viewers to watch. Should we make an American version?” Teng Shu fell into deep thought as he looked at the script in his hand.

There is an American version of The Grudge. There are three American versions of The Grudge in total. The first one is an episode that incorporates most of the classic horror scenes of The Grudge. If you have watched other works of The Grudge and then watch the American version of The Grudge, you will find a lot of the same elements in it, but this time the one who died was not an islander, but a lighthouse man.

The American version of Ju-Grudge 2 that followed was similar, incorporating most of the classic elements of Ju-Grudge, and then creating a localized Ju-Grudge evil spirit in the lighthouse. As for the third part, some new settings were added, and a story about the two attacks of Kayako and her sister was created. It was innovative, but the horror level was not enough.

However, Teng Shu felt that this might be because he had watched Ju-Grudge too many times, so he no longer felt as scared of Kayako as he did when he first saw her. After watching her too many times, he even thought Kayako was cute.

The biggest difference between the original version of The Grudge and the American version is the density of scares. The American version has more small plots and more scary scenes, while the original version is relatively ordinary.

After all, the original version was filmed very early, and director Shimizu Takashi was also telling the story of Ju-Grudge seriously, so the overall plot of Ju-Grudge looked quite peculiar. When the American version was released, many Ju-Grudges had already been released, so Shimizu Takashi also added more classic shots of Ju-Grudge. However, Teng Shu thought about it and decided to shoot according to the videotape version. Otherwise, if the American version of Ju-Grudge was used for filming, it would be difficult to shoot the follow-up.

“Let me take a look at the Saeki family, and then those unlucky guys.” Teng Shu checked the script again.

After making sure that there was no problem, Teng Shu sent the actor recruitment requirements to Zoroark and asked Zoroark to send invitations to those stars. At the same time, Teng Shu also took a look at his own fear value.

[Alien: 63369]

“It’s not bad to have this fear value on the first day, but why hasn’t the lottery been triggered after so many attempts? It seems that the fear value requirements for this lottery are getting higher and higher.” Teng Shu shook his head. The speed of gaining fear value has increased a lot now. Teng Shu thinks it may be due to the master-level lens language. After all, if the sense of immersion is stronger, it can make the audience feel greater fear.

But Teng Shu still felt a little dissatisfied.

“Sure enough, it is still a little difficult for monster movies to be scary, and ghost movies have a natural advantage in this regard.” Teng Shu stretched and then lay down on his bed.

What Teng Shu is most curious about now is what will be drawn in each lottery. Teng Shu is also concerned that if the draw continues like this, will his movies really take the audience directly to the movie world? It’s quite interesting to think about it.

“It’s just this plot.” Teng Shu remembered something.

There is a difference that was not included in the plot adapted by Teng Shu. In the American version of Ju-Ji 2, director Takashi Shimizu actually added a setting here, which is why Kayako is so strong?
After all, many people are curious about why Kayako is so powerful when watching the movie, and why the bodies of the other people she killed could not be found, and why they didn’t turn into ghosts and kill Kayako. In fact, the settings here have been supplemented in the American version of Ju-Jun 2.

In the American version of Ju-Yo 2, Shimizu Takashi added a setting, that is, Kayako was born in a shaman family, and her mother was a shaman, a powerful witch. Then when others were possessed by evil spirits and came to Kayako’s mother for help, Kayako’s mother would take out the evil spirits and then drip them into Kayako’s mouth.

That is to say, Kayako has to bear the pain of torture by these evil spirits, so Kayako herself is a very terrifying collection of resentment. But there was no problem when she was alive, but Kayako was killed by her husband Takeo Saeki, and it was an unjust death. So Kayako’s own resentment and those resentments created Kayako, such an unsolvable female ghost.

Kayako became so powerful because she drank the evil spirit on behalf of someone else when she was young.

However, this setting was not stated in the Ju-Grudge videotape. After much deliberation, Teng Shu decided to add this setting in, but it would only be a chapter in the diary and would not be mentioned too much. It would be used as the plot of Ju-Grudge 2 later.

After solving the problem of the curse, Teng Shu felt much happier. Currently, there are not so many excellent ghosts and monsters in the Pokémon world, and there is no unified standard for evil spirits.

“After we finish filming The Grudge, we can make Kayako the nightmare of this world, right?” Teng Shu rubbed his hands excitedly.

If they can create a typical evil spirit image, then Ghost Pictures can get a good IP. However, based on Kayako’s situation, Teng Shu feels that probably no company would want to collaborate with them.

Teng Shu yawned, then lay down on the bed and fell asleep.

And when Teng Shu was sleeping, a nightmare god came here quietly. It smelled a strong smell of fear and nightmare, which was the nightmare god’s favorite thing.

The Nightmare God floated above the city, quietly looking at the city below. There were many nightmares in this city, whether it was people or Pokémon, many people were having nightmares. This made the Nightmare God a little strange. After all, normally, although people may have nightmares sometimes, it is unlikely that so many people would have nightmares together.

Unless the Nightmare God uses his own power, he will make these people have nightmares together.

The Nightmare God looked around curiously, and then his gaze fell on the top floor of a luxury hotel. The people here were also dreaming, but what made the Nightmare God curious was that this dream was very strange. It clearly exuded an extremely strong nightmare atmosphere, but in essence it looked like a beautiful dream. The Nightmare God flew over curiously, then reached out and touched it.

As soon as it was touched, the Nightmare God entered this dream. The Nightmare God looked around curiously and found that he had come to a strange house. This house was very unique and had two floors. The Nightmare God wanted to fly in confusion, but found that he could not fly at all.

The Nightmare God tilted his head. It was the first time that he was bound in a dream, which made him a little curious. Just when he was about to escape from the dream, he heard a strange sound coming from the second floor. The Nightmare God walked upstairs in confusion. After going upstairs, he found a door in front of him.

After pushing open the door, the Nightmare God found a cupboard here, and a diary on the table. The Nightmare God did not look at it. He was more curious about what the sound on the roof was, so he simply opened the cupboard door and went in. After entering, the Nightmare God heard more things.

The strange clucking sound and the sound of something crawling made the Nightmare God a little curious, and he found that he could not perceive the entire dream at all.

This is very unusual.

The Nightmare God looked at the sliding door above, then climbed up, but it was very dark up there, even the Nightmare God could not see anything. The Nightmare God touched a lighter, and he looked at the lighter in his hand helplessly. He had some understanding of this thing, the lighter in the human world.

The Nightmare God casually used a lighter, and the flame illuminated the attic. The Nightmare God turned his head and saw Kayako with a pale face and bloodstains behind him.

An inexplicable fear surged up, and the Nightmare God screamed subconsciously, and was then dragged up by Kayako. (End of this chapter)
