From Chapter 01, Zhang Fan’s sightseeing tour, to Chapter 106, the birth of the new human figure, a total of words, it can be considered a complete volume. As a stage of the story, the degree of completion is quite satisfactory.

However, because a lot of timelines are interspersed, some people may not understand it clearly. Today I will explain it to you according to the normal timeline.

In fact, from the beginning of the story, Zhang Fan went to Zhenwu Mountain for a trip and got to know about cultivation for the first time. He was able to leave his body on his first try. Compared with a genius like Xia Weisheng, he had to practice for 49 days to achieve this. In this comparison, the protagonist can be regarded as a cheat, but there must be a logical rationality behind it.

Everyone who has seen it should know that before Mount Zhenwu, Zhang Fan’s soul had awakened, but later he entered the dark night and became an ordinary person, forgetting many things.

Therefore, if the first volume has a theme, it should be called [Retrieval] or [Rebirth]. The whole volume revolves around Zhang Fan who comes down the mountain and steps into the world of cultivation. He gradually discovers his differences, his father’s differences, and the differences of many people around him… He overturns the past, finds the lost self, and finds the truth of ten years ago.

During the Eastern Han Dynasty, the great Taoist Zhang Daoling was enlightened by the Supreme Lord Laozi at Heming Mountain, and was secretly given the heavenly book. He founded the Zhengyi Mengwei Dao, and later established a sect at Longhu Mountain, thus starting the Taoist tradition.

At the end of the Eastern Han Dynasty, the world was in chaos. The Wuwei School took advantage of the situation and rose up, claiming to “use the method of birth and death to seek the way of longevity through Wuwei”. It built temples on mountains and observatories on rivers, and controlled the demons and ghosts in the world. It attracted incense from all over the world, swept across the world, and suppressed the Taoism in the world. Its influence was so great that it affected all Taoist sects in the world.

Two thousand years later, the Zhang family of Longhu Mountain, led by the Taoist masters of the world, launched nine “destroying mountains and temples” to kill the evil spirits. Their slogan is: Zhengyi Alliance, the will of the Supreme Law. Inherit the three days, kill ghosts and live. Punish the evil and the false, and sort out the ghost energy.

One hundred years ago, the Taoist Three Corpses of the Wuwei Sect mastered one of the nine inner alchemy techniques, Three Corpses Illuminating Life, and became the best master in the world.

Eighty years ago, the Central Plains suffered a disaster, and the people were in trouble. The masters of Taoism gathered at Longhu Mountain to participate in the “Putian Dajiao”, and prayed for the blessings of the world with 3,600 gods. Unexpectedly, it triggered the “Taoism Great Disaster”. Since then, the masters of Taoism in the world have withered, and many Dharma lines have been cut off. The gate of Longhu Mountain, one of the top ten Taoist sects in the world, was closed, and there has been no incense for eighty years. That year, only one young man on Longhu Mountain escaped death and avoided the disaster. He was Chu Chaoran from Zhenwu Mountain. He returned to Zhenwu Mountain with his master’s severed hand and the Zhenwu Jade Book, and never mentioned the incident.

Sixty years ago, Chu Chaoran of Zhenwu Mountain entered the realm of [Pure Yang Wuji] and fought with the Taoist Three Corpses on the top of Mount Dongyue. It aroused the covetousness of Wuwei Sect and Taoist sects all over the world. The disaster began and a great battle took place at the foot of Mount Longhu.

That night, Zhang Fan and Li Changgeng fought for the first time. The latter was seriously injured and dying. Zhang Fan fell into the [Great Night] calamity. When facing the calamity, he used the [Dividing Spirit Method] to split his soul into three. The evil spirit hid in the Yin, the evil spirit entered the Tao, and the good spirit returned to the body. From then on, only the good spirit Zhang Fan was left. His soul entered silence, his Taoism retreated, and his past was forgotten, becoming a mortal. That night, the leader of the [Thirteen Zodiacs] [Human Zodiac] Li Linglong died. In Zhang Fan’s later memory, his mother Li Linglong died in a car accident ten years ago. Zhang Lingzong used the method of stealing the sky to cover up the [birth Yuanchen] of the father and son, faked his death to avoid disaster, and hid in Yujing City from then on, working as a laborer on the construction site for a living. [Nine-fingered Talisman Demon] Liu Fusheng became a security guard at Hongfu Garden and secretly protected them.

The founder of Zhenwu Mountain once said: Zhenwu spreads the teachings for seventy-three generations, and the descendants of Zhenwu Mountain will be reborn to meet the calamity. Zhenwu Mountain has been passed down for exactly seventy-three generations. Zhang Fan, by chance, comes into contact with the Taoist practice method, awakens his soul, and meets the girl Jiang Lai. With her help, he escapes the calamity several times, integrates the Zhenwu Jade Book, awakens the Samadhi True Fire, and re-enters the world of practice.

After returning to Yujing City, Zhang Fan joined Ye Buliang and made friends with people such as Bai Bu Ran, an abandoned disciple of Zhenwu, Jiang Hu, a disciple of Maoshan, Wen He, the successor of Shensha, and Yu Fu, thus uncovering the Taoist world hidden in the secular city. In several confrontations with the [Thirteen Zodiac Signs] (the Dragon Tooth incident in Taoyuan Square – Wang Tao, the Pig, the Xuanjian Baolu incident of the Shen Family – Wu Qilu, the Shensha Sect’s master-disciple incident – Jin Mao Ri of the Rooster), Zhang Fan gradually approached the truth of ten years ago, gradually recovered his strength, and retrieved the most crucial memories.

This volume is considered complete only when the thirteen zodiac animals gather together and a new human sign is born.

This volume has 300,000 words, and has dug a lot of holes, but they have been basically filled. Of course, there are still some holes that have not been filled…

For example, the life experiences of Zhang Fan and his son, the past and origins of his mother Li Linglong, the truth about the great catastrophe of Taoism, Jiang Lai’s secret, the nine inner alchemy methods, the Three Corpses Taoist, Zhang Fan the evil god, Zhang Fan and Li Changgeng, etc.

These holes will be slowly filled in the main storyline in the future, so please be patient.

Finally, some responses to some of the hotly debated questions.

First of all, some people speculated that Jiang Lai was a weapon spirit, but… there shouldn’t be such a thing as a weapon spirit in this book, so Jiang Lai was not a weapon spirit.

Secondly, Zhang Fan practiced the [Spirit Dispersion Technique], but he did not practice the [Three Corpses Illuminating Life]. In other words, the [Spirit Dispersion Technique] is only the basic entry skill for the [Three Corpses Illuminating Life]. Each of the nine inner alchemy methods is extremely difficult to practice.
