Chapter 134: The Girls at the Concert
Half an hour before the concert started, Zhao Yanxi and Wen Jing squeezed into the venue with the crowd.
The ticket was purchased by Zhao Yanxi through a middleman at a high price. The seat wasn't very good; it was in the middle of the stands, quite far from the stage.
But as long as she can get in, that's fine, since she didn't come specifically to chase after celebrities.
Just as the two girls reached their seats, a figure suddenly appeared and blocked their way.
Longhe's agent—Sister Song!
Sister Song smiled and said, "Little sister, do you still recognize me?"
Zhao Yanxi gave an awkward laugh: "Sister Song? What's wrong with you...?"
"Mr. Ding asked me to show you the way; he has reserved a VIP room for you two."
"Ding Heng!?"
Zhao Yanxi was stunned for a moment.
Wenjing was equally bewildered and subconsciously tugged at Zhao Yanxi's sleeve.
"Yan hope, does Ding Heng know we're here?"
Sister Song smiled without saying a word, and turned to the side to make a gesture of invitation.
"Gentlemen, please come with me."

Front row VIP area.
Ding Heng leaned back in his chair, scrolling through his phone listlessly.
Hua Qing was pulled backstage by Long He's team for a final confirmation, leaving him sitting alone.
All around him were couples, all lovey-dovey and affectionate, which made his eyes hurt.
"Old Ding?!"
A familiar voice came from behind.
Ding Heng turned his head and saw Chen Mo waving at him. Next to him was a short-haired girl with black-rimmed glasses and a typical academic face.
Chen Mo squeezed through the crowd, exclaiming in surprise, "What brings you here?"
Ding Heng gave an awkward laugh: "I came to see the concert, of course."
Chen Mo and his girlfriend sat down next to Ding Heng.
"Let me introduce you, this is my girlfriend, Su Ke."
He then turned to Su Ke: "This is Ding Heng, the one I told you about. He's from our dorm. He's the one who helped us get the tickets."
Su Ke nodded politely: "Hello, thank you for your ticket."
Ding Heng waved his hand: "Hello, you're welcome!"
Chen Mo looked around and suddenly asked, "Old Ding, are you alone?"
Ding Heng gave a wry smile: "Is it strange that I'm alone?"
"No, no..."
Chen Mo scratched his head: "I'm just curious, you're usually so popular with girls, why did you come all this way to see the concert by yourself?"
Ding Heng shrugged: "There's nothing I can do, I'm just a die-hard fan of Longhe."
Su Ke's eyes lit up: "You're a die-hard fan of Long He too?"
"Of course!"
Ding Heng said in a serious tone: "I've been following Longhe since I was three years old."
They both took it as a joke and laughed heartily.
It's exactly eight o'clock.
The lights dimmed, plunging the entire venue into darkness.
The next second, the large screen on the stage lit up, the music blared, and four figures were slowly lifted up by a lift platform.
The cheers were deafening.
The opening sequence of group songs, featuring energetic dances, completely ignited the atmosphere.
Next came the members' new album singles, one after another. The girls on stage changed their outfits, while the fans below waved their light sticks wildly.
The grand finale was naturally Longhe.
Under the spotlight, she stood quietly in the center of the stage, her clothes fluttering.
Hua Qing, who danced alone, wore a moon-white, high-waisted ruqun (a type of traditional Chinese dress), her long hair half-tied up, and her movements were graceful and fluid.
Ding Heng couldn't help but click his tongue twice.
Your teamwork on stage was quite good; hopefully, you two will be even better together in a different setting...
The first half has ended, and we are now in the halftime break.
Four girls changed into casual clothes and came to the center of the stage to interact with fans, and also drew lucky audience members to request songs for a duet.
Screams erupted from the audience.
After two songs, it was Kim Chan-ah's turn.
She walked to the edge of the stage, and the camera followed her gaze across the crowd.
"This one will do, the handsome guy in the front row."
The next second, the image on the big screen froze.
Ding Heng's face was magnified countless times, clearly displayed before everyone.
The staff member immediately ran over and handed him the microphone.
-
Private room.
Zhao Yanxi almost spilled her drink.
Holy crap!
She grabbed Wenjing's hand: "Little Jingjing! Look! It's Ding Heng!"
Wenjing scratched her head: "How did Ding Heng get picked?"
"Could it have been intentional?"
Zhao Yanxi pressed her face against the glass, a question forming in her mind.
-
Backstage.
Hua Qing had just changed her clothes and was preparing to go back to the audience to find Ding Heng.
This is your treasure trove for discovering the best fantasy novels.
Ding Heng's face suddenly appeared on the TV screen in the lounge.
Hua Qing paused, her innate female intuition telling her that it was best not to go back now.
-
stage.
Long He's smile froze.
She quietly reached out and gently pinched Jin Chan-ah's waist, her eyes full of question marks—What are you doing?!
Kim Chan-ah remained unfazed and continued asking in fluent Chinese, "Handsome guy, which song from our group would you like to sing?"
Ding Heng held the microphone to his mouth, his tone sincere: "I'm sorry, I only know one song from your group, and I always sing it off-key."
The entire audience erupted in uproar.
Some laughed, some booed, and some made a fuss.
Kim Chan-ah wasn't annoyed: "Then may I ask which song it is?"
Ding Heng responded, "How about Long He's 'First Snow'?"
"sure."
Kim Chan-ah nodded, then asked, "But I'm curious, why did you want to sing this song?"
"Because this song reminds me of a friend..."
Ding Heng's voice resonated throughout the venue through the speakers.
"It's her birthday recently, and today happens to be the day of this concert. I've been thinking for a long time about what gift to give her, but she doesn't need anything, so I thought I'd sing a song for her, hoping she can hear it!"
Is she important to you?
Is she important to you?
"right."
How important is it?
Ding Heng raised his head and stared blankly at Long He on the stage without any attempt to hide his gaze.
Long He's heart skipped a beat. She instinctively tried to avoid Ding Heng's gaze, but found herself unable to react at all.
"She and I... have been separated for almost three years."
Ding Heng began to speak, his voice steady and deep.
"For the past three years, I've always felt empty inside, like a piece of me is missing. Sometimes when I'm walking down the street and see something fun, I'll subconsciously think, 'She'll definitely like this.' Sometimes when I eat something delicious, I'll think about bringing her to try it."
He chuckled softly, a hint of self-deprecation in his voice.
"But every time I realize it, I remember she's no longer by my side."
Ding Heng's gaze finally met Long He's.
"I thought time could heal all wounds, but when I saw her again one day, I realized... I just couldn't let go."
Long He's pupils trembled as he finally realized what was happening.
Kim Chan-ah deliberately engaged in Latin-style interaction, suggesting that the two must have communicated beforehand.
This was a birthday surprise for her!
Ding Heng was smiling in the audience, a gentle smile, like the helpless yet indulgent smile he gave her when she got into trouble as a child.
Three years.
More than a thousand days and nights.
She also thought she had long been used to being alone.
But now, standing under the spotlight and hearing Ding Heng's sincere words, her eyes suddenly began to well up with tears.
She lowered her head and blinked frantically, trying to force the heat back.
But it seems it's already too late.
……
Backstage.
Hua Qing stared at the television screen, motionless.
Three years.
She silently repeated it to herself.
She and he had only known each other for three months.
Hua Qing lowered her eyes, turned around, went into the bathroom, and closed the door.
The mirror reflected her ethereal, aloof face, which should have been devoid of emotion and desire.
……
Inside the private room.
Wenjing stared quietly at Ding Heng's face on the screen, sniffed, and felt a strange pang of sadness in her heart.
A little bit.
It really is just a little bit...
She tried to comfort herself, then turned to say a few words to Zhao Yanxi, only to find Zhao Yanxi standing motionless in front of the glass window.
The stage lights shone through the glass, casting dappled shadows on Zhao Yanxi's face.
A burgundy velvet dress, beautiful makeup, and long, light blue hair styled in a high bun.
Exquisite, beautiful... yet sorrowful.
-
on the stage.
The prelude to "First Snow" begins.
Jin Canya picked up the microphone, but only hummed the harmonies softly, leaving the main melody entirely to Ding Heng.
The man's voice echoed throughout the venue.
To be honest, the singing was not good.
He has a very plain voice, lacks any skill, and occasionally sings off-key.
But it was this clumsy voice that silenced the entire room.
The climax, in particular, is almost heart-wrenching.
Longhe stood on one side of the stage, listening to the lyrics he had written, and scenes flashed through his mind.
The final image is frozen on the day of farewell.
Ding Heng came to the airport to see her off, constantly comforting her as she cried, and promising that they would be brothers for life.
Longhe was very happy to receive the guarantee.
But I'm not willing to give up...
