Chapter 106 Zeus, Lucifer, and Power

Chapter 106 Zeus, Lucifer, and Power

The king of gods, wielding thunder and fire, swept past with a roar of lightning and thunder, causing even the earth to tremble. The storm seemed to be venting his rage and unleashing his fury.

Everything was trying to avoid the wrath of the defeated king of the gods: the river god stopped flowing, the nymphs burrowed into the ground, the wind and clouds dodged, and the mountains tried to embrace the earth.

However...

The enraged king of the gods, whom all the gods feared and wanted to avoid, bumped into a group of people swaggering around in the sky on his way back to Mount Olympus.

Zeus, furious at being humiliated and with nowhere to vent his anger, was about to hurl his thunderbolts at the celestial beings...

However, I suddenly noticed the wings on these guys' bodies and the golden halos above their heads.

The enraged Zeus had just made a gesture as if to hurl his thunderbolt...

He then silently put it back.

The thunder and the dark clouds seemed to quiet down a bit at that moment.

It slowly flew towards Mount Olympus... trying to ignore the angels.

However, if Zeus discovered Lucifer's army, how could Lucifer not have noticed Zeus's conspicuous presence?

Immediately, Lucifer and the angels exchanged glances, their eyes meeting, confirming again and again, "That is... Zeus, the king of the false gods?"

Immediately, Lucifer's heart began to heat up with excitement and ecstasy... What scrolls, what relics, could any of these achievements be greater than capturing the King of the False Gods alive?

He saw that the thundercloud seemed to be afraid of him.

Drifting further and further away...

Lucifer's mind was instantly filled with fantasy. He carried Zeus to the heavens and showed Michael and the many angels his glorious achievements!

God will praise him, angels and the righteous will bless him; he is a thousand times, ten thousand times stronger than Michael; his name will be sung in heaven, resounding with God...

And so, his already crimson pupils turned bloodshot and stared at the storm cloud like a dragon.

Twelve wings sprouted behind him, instantly blotting out the sky. He made a grasping motion in the air, and a longsword burning with black flames appeared...

At the same time, he summoned the angels of the Morning Star Legion to prepare for war, and the angels hurriedly raised their swords.

As Lucifer transformed into a streak of crimson and black light, illuminating half the sky blood-red, he was the first to plunge into the dark clouds and storm. Seeing this, the other angels mustered their courage, gripping their swords and following the archangel in the battle against the false god...

And Zeus...

He was so angry that even his mother's nose crooked!

His repeated avoidance of battle stemmed from respect... but his respect wasn't for these trivial things, nor for the Messiah, nor even for that raven possessing the power of Typhon, the progenitor of all demons...

It was that inexplicable drop of water!

He instinctively felt awe at the power behind that drop of water.

but...

These guys have provoked him time and time again. Do they really think he's afraid?

As the king of the gods, the king of the sky and thunder, the chief of the twelve Olympian gods, and the master of the pantheon on Mount Olympus...

What has he ever been afraid of in his life?

"You bunch of despicable scoundrels!"

Zeus was enraged.

He was really angry.

Even the advice of the goddess of wisdom within her womb was ineffective.

In an instant, dark clouds and lightning enveloped the entire sky, and the sun and sky turned black.

The earth was shrouded in this terrifying shadow...

Endless lightning gathered in the sky, accumulating terrifying, world-destroying power.

The earth trembled with fear at that moment, and the mountains and rivers fled in terror.

Some travelers walking on the wasteland almost bled from their eyes when they saw the thunder in the distant dark clouds.

The travelers knelt on the ground, weeping as they questioned the eye of the storm: "O son of Cronus, who wields thunder and fire!"

"Who on earth has provoked you to this extent?"

Then the travelers saw feathers scattered in the storm and a light that shone like the morning star.

They seemed lost in thought...

They provided the answer to that question: "It was the light of dawn, the glossy wings..."

'

Rumble—

A torrent of furious thunder crashed down, its weight seemingly immense.

It hurtled towards the gleaming figure within the dark clouds, and upon seeing this, the morning light unleashed a blood-red sword beam that slashed towards the lightning.

However, the sword that was powerful enough to cleave Valhalla could not cleave the lightning.

Almost instantly, the sword light was crushed by the lightning.

That irresistible blow pressed down on Lucifer.

This was a powerful blow from Zeus, one that even Typhon, the ancestor of all demons, dared not claim he could withstand, let alone Lucifer, who had not yet reached the ranks of high angels.

The instant the lightning magnified before his eyes.

A flicker of regret seemed to cross his mind...

But more than that... it was a fanaticism, a fanaticism for that power!

A look of joy on his face...

He opened his arms, accepting the unbearable blow with a sense of acceptance.

And just as Lucifer was about to be crushed by the thunder, a single drop of water...

It arises from nothingness.

The lightning shattered from below, unleashing its earth-shattering power.

At that moment, almost 90% of it dissipated...

However, it still possessed one-tenth of the thunderous power and slammed into Lucifer.

Although somewhat disheveled, Lucifer did not display pain or wailing amidst the lightning, but rather a kind of ecstasy; the force striking him did not seem to cause any harm.

It was more like a baptism, his body being tempered in the lightning.

Their strength, and even their rank, gradually increased at this moment...

Meanwhile, Lucifer was being tempered.

The drop of water was shooting rapidly towards Zeus...

Zeus saw the droplet reappear.

Although I was mentally prepared, I was still a little flustered and not very skilled at dodging.

It was almost too late when it vanished in a flash of lightning; all that could be heard was—

"Ugh."

A familiar wail... gradually faded into the distance.

Unlike the severe damage suffered previously...

Zeus was only pierced through the thigh this time, but after the thigh was pierced...

His appearance was somewhat disheveled, causing him to lose face before the gods and inciting Poseidon to consider rebellion.

The highest heaven.

Yahweh reached out and the golden halos, like rings, flew back into his hand from the battlefield.

Then... he threw the halos of these fallen angels onto the altar of Valhalla.

The golden rings were inscribed with the qualities of their spirit.

Under the infusion of soul essence, the souls of the fallen angels gradually recover... like infants floating in pillars of light. After some time, they will be fully resurrected, ready to once again wield their swords and fight for the gods...

After doing all this, Yahweh looked at Lucifer, who had been struck by lightning and was still floating in the sky. The raven beside him noticed something unusual.

It exclaimed in surprise, "My Lord, that arrogant brat seems to have gotten stronger! He seems to have risen a whole rank!"

Yahweh smiled at this and explained, "This is the unique power of Lucifer."

"I call it the 'Dawn's Light'."

"What doesn't kill him makes him stronger..."

"Zeus's thunderbolts could have destroyed him, but I neutralized most of them with my water droplets."

"Thus, he absorbed that portion of the thunder's power, and thus received a sublimation-like enhancement."
